A few problems with this product...
A few points to consider:First, points off for (1) the grip slides off way too easily - in fact, just throw them away, and (2) why aren't they pre-loaded, so that they are ready to use - you have to attach the belts and wind them up yourself, and God help you if it's dark or you're in a rush. Finally (3) see those black grips? They slide right off so you'll have to glue them on if you don't want to loose them. In fact, just throw them away, they're useless except for appearance. No points off but a couple more things to consider:First, these straps are long and aren't meant to be used too short because the strap bunches around the shaft. So, if you don't need this length don't buy shorter ones. Second, you really do need to practice a little with them. Tightening is no problem, but loosening requires a little manual dexterity and is difficult with gloves. The zippered case is nice and these fit my particular need well so I didn't return them, but I would have looked a little longer had I known about the issues.

They Do the Job
These are not commercial grade (they're as narrow and thin as about any ratchet straps you'll find), but that also makes them easy to work with and ideal for jobs within their stated load limit. Other than the rubber covers that keep falling off the ratchet handles (as many other reviewers have mentioned) these have performed flawlessly for me at both ends of the job (any ratchet strap can secure the cargo, but releasing and removing some of them can be a real chore -- but not these, UNstrapping these was fast and easy, too). The carrying case is a nice extra. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is those rubber handle covers.

Good tie downs
I use these to tie down my Coleman 10x10 canopy on the beach. I had been using the weights that looked like barbells (sit on the bottom of each pole) but they would not keep the canopy tied down in a moderate wind. A retired highway patrolman had his canopy next to mine one day and he showed me his rig. He uses a screw in stake (for a dog leash) at each pole that screws easily in the sand. Then he uses the ratchet tie downs to hold the canopy in place at each corner. Works like a charm, much better than what I had. I bought these used (someone had purchased them and could not figure out how to thread the strap into the ratchet so they sent them back) ones that were actually new and I got them for about half what the price for new ones is.

Ratchet "Lite", definitely not for regular use
I was thinking ratchet straps can only be so cheap, I was definitely wrong on these. The plastic covers are just slip on and obviously always come off during use. The ratchet itself is pretty poorly made, its not made for industrial or dirty use at all.Don't get me wrong, they worked fine, but overall I cannot use these again next year. I used them in the desert, and within a day the dirt/dust had jammed all of the ratchet mechanisms. I have had difficulty with other ratchets before, but they are always generally easy to blow clean and they still tend to work.

No issue with items. Quality at an affordable price.
They worked great when I used a upack shipping container to move items from PA to TX. Quality meets price. They are a little short if you plan to use over a larger load in the back of a pickup truck... or a long box truck with large items. But small jobs worked great!

Don't Do It!
Mehhhhhhh... I'd pass on these guys. The plastic cover slides right off out of the box and the metal under it is rough on your hands when ratcheting down.I was using them to strap down my 48" walk behind mower to my landscaping trailer and I'd get at most 10 trips around town before the strap material would wear through, stretch out and eventually snap when hitting bumps in the road. The ratchet mechanisms did hold up pretty well though, but again were very uncomfortable to ratchet down.I would avoid using these straps for any real use. If I was looking for something cheap for holding down insignificant objects under safe stationary conditions like strapping a tarp around something in the yard to protect it, I'd get these, otherwise keep looking. Search for "Keeper 03548 Pro Grade" here on Amazon, I really like this strap so far.

Straps for Strapping
I have a good bit of experience with ratchet straps (but not quite a ratchet strap 'expert' that they might call up on the History Channel), and I can tell you that these straps will strap what needs strapped.I used these most recently to move a couple motorcycles (a sport bike and a cruiser), and they performed flawlessly. They stayed tight, did not fray in the wind, and best of all, they can pack right back up in the handy little carrying pouch they come in (rather than lay around haphazardly in the garage). The quality is just a little bit higher than the Harbor Freight ones I last had, and those were some good straps.

Value for Money no good!
They are easy to use, however the black plastic/rubber on the handle always slides off... As for sturdiness, they say 300lbs but I personally wouldnt bet on it. As for price, I believe you can get better ones at your local hardware store for your buck (value for your money)Would I buy again? Probably not especially at the price they charge.
