Buy Tesla Dreamcolor Interior Car Lights, WEBUPAR Tesla Car Accessories 9 in 1 Car LED Strip Lights with APP Control and 213 Modes, 175 inches 593 LEDs Acrylic Fiber Optic Lights, RGB Neon Car Lighting: Neon Light Kits - desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY possible on eligible purchases Review: Very good for the price - Works perfectly. Worth every penny. Review: Very good looking lights and with a few tweaks, this could be the perfect ambient kit. - Pros (+5 Stars) 1. The fiber lines are very bright and beautiful. 2. Has a startup animation that is really cool. 2. The colors and modes are awesome. 3. Looks very OEM when installed correctly. 4. Controllers communicate view bluetooth, so no extension is needed if you can find a place to tap into power and ground. 5. I was able to install the 10-1 "Tesla" kit without having any wires in my center console. 6. I was able to install the 10-1 "Tesla" kit with a relay that turns the lights off when I lock the car/close the door and powers them up when I unlock/start the car. 7. I purchased two kits and found that you only need one master controller to controller all of the sub controllers even if you use more that 4 sub controllers. Cons (-2 stars / Seller is sending a replacement strip +1 star): 1. Not a Tesla specific kit as the longest strip is only 42 inches and the model 3/Y dash is 53-54 inches long. 2. Does not come with cigarette plug with means you need to tap into a 12v wire on the car (Teslas are very sensitive to 12v pulls and if not installed correctly you can damage your car when splicing into tesla 12v wires). 3. A very daunting install if youve never done anything like this before. 4. Only comes with two strip extensions per kit (This is not enough). 5. Footwell lights are not very bright even on maximum brightness. 6. The wires on the end of each strip are exposed and can easily break if pulled (Or in my case one came loose before installation -Update- Seller is quickly sending a replacement. 7. Not enough strips to do the doors with one 10-1 kit. Tesla Installation suggestions: 1. Since this kit does not come with a 12v cigarette adapter either purchase one with an on/off switch separately or install the kit with a relay tapping into teslas 12v in the car (you can use google to find the recommended locations). Teslas do not fully sleep most of the time especially with sentry mode active, so if you tap into the Teslas 12v without installing a relay, these lights will keep running, effectively draining your 12v battery. 2. When disconnecting the strips from the controllers, I used a smaller set of pliers and wiggled them back and forth to remove them, If you try to pull them with your hands, im pretty confident youre going to remove the exposed strip wires (that should not be exposed) effectively making to strip unusable. 3. Pay for professional installation if youve never done anything like this before. Suggestions to the Seller: 1. Include a cigarette adapter with this kit for those who do not feel comfortable tapping into Tesla wires as these cars are sensitive to 12v pulls. 2. Include at least 4 extension cables with each kit. Two is not enough for Teslas even with the bluetooth functionality. 3. You cannot tap into power from more than two doors on a Tesla. The car will sense the extra voltage at kill power to the light you are tapping into. The only way around this is to run wire from the box through the door grommets to a12v that turns off with the car such as a center console light. 4. For the Tesla I would get rid of the 42 inch strips if you cannot include a 53-54 inch strip and just replace it with two 29 inch strips instead (two 29 inch strips on the dash looks better in my opinion anyway - see included video). 5. Get those exposed strip wires covered please. They can easily be ripped out. 6. One 10-1 kit will only provide enough lighting and controllers for the dash and center console leaving three spare sub controllers, one 42 inch strip, and one 14 inch strip (This is with the Gen 1 Model 3/Y center console). If a kit came with one more sub box and four more 29 inch strips, then all four doors could be covered as well. 7. Although the floor lights are cool, they should be brighter, they leave much to be desired. All in all, the lights look great, if the seller can just make just a few minor adjustments this could effectively be a perfect Tesla ambient lighting kit.
