So theoretically you can use resin in these molds but the temperature of the resin should be minimally hot. **Q: can i pour less cement to make them 1/4 inch thick?** A: You possibly could make it slightly thinner. However I dont believe it would be by much. The face design has many thickness variations and would limit how much you could thin it. Also it would be structurally weaker and much easier to break. I wouldn't recommend it. **Q: how much cement do you mix for one mold casting and do you use fortifier or water? has anyone used powder colorant? any advice?** A: Hello. Thank you for the question. If you plan to use powder pigments then you should use white cement. I use ordinary (gray) cement. And I paint already finished stones. For the dyeing of finished stones I use ordinary water-soluble paints for outdoor use.
