MIND BLOWN!
I have listened to many of his talks on the subject. I guess the way my mind thinks is I had a preconceived idea that I had heard a majority of what he had to say on the subject. With that being said. A few times while reading it I had to put it down as I found myself in a heap of emotion and tears because of the weight and truth of it!Very beautifully written! I would recommend it to anyone who desires to go deeper or really anyone who may be stuck due to hurts or trauma in life or simply may have questions about the gospel. You will not be disappointed!!

You Can Trust In God's Love
My first encounter with Baxter Kruger's books was "Jesus and the Undoing of Adam", which looked at why Jesus died on the Cross. In many Christian circles today, the crucifixion is only discussed as if a legal "exchange" took place. Jesus, the sinless one, dies in our place pronouncing us legally clean. This sounds good until you think it through. What kind of God punishes the innocent to free the guilty? And can we trust such a God? For when we take a wrong step (which, as Christians we will) will God the Father revert back to demanding justice, taking away his love?Drawing on the theology of the brothers T.F.and J.B. Torrance, Kruger highlights that God really is love. We need a deeper understanding of what took place on the Cross, in order to avoid creating the idea that God can't really be trusted.Impressed with "Jesus and the Undoing of Adam", I decided to read "Across All Worlds". This book has the same discussion at its heart, but attempts to expand its meaning for us. In particular, Kruger seeks to spell out the practical impact on our lives.God truly does love us - he always has and always will. Jesus death on the Cross did not change God. Instead, Jesus' crucifixion is all about changing us. As Kruger puts it: "The gospel is the news that this Jesus is now sharing himself with you and me, and indeed with the world - inside our darkness." (Location 602)Deep inside, we may feel that we cannot change. But Jesus is able "to share his Spirit with us in the darkest corners of our fears." (Location 617.)This is a great book. Even if you have read Kruger's earlier works, this book is still worth reading. However, if you are a Kindle user, don't get this book on the Kindle. The formatting is dreadful with foot notes interrupting the text. Every now and then a sentence will begin and not end. Very frustrating. Amazon tried to resolve this for me, but it appears to be in the way the book was created electronically. Hopefully, the publishers are reading this and will fix it!

The only revelation that can bring forth transformation and change the world!
This is the final of a quartet of books by Baxter Kruger that has broken the chains and shackles of religious thinking and living. (The others being Jesus and the Undoing of Adam, God is For Us, and The Great Dance).A stunning unpacking of Jesus leaving heaven to come and take on human form and live as an example OF us. He is the blueprint of our design. It is not a case of what would Jesus do, but mankind, now reconciled and restored to their original identity, can live life as he did!!!As Baxter says somewhere, it is Abba Father saying to his Son, Number One, Go make it So! Go and become human and indwell flesh and show mankind what I am like, and that they are like you. Bring them home Son. And praise God, He has. Not just Christians. The cosmos. All mankind. The world. Now leaving the Holy Spirit to reveal to people who they are so they might know this marvelous news. God has and always will love us. He has come and found us, and brought us home.
