Had the toucan doorbell on the front of the house for a while and it's been good, and needed something for the back of the house. Looked at the doorbell but saw this and thought the security light would be a good feature along with no requirement to charge it.Installed it myself with no need for additional tools other than a drill and screwdriver. Cable routing was just the mains cable and nothing else, wireless connection was simple to setup. As don't need to charge it I could put it higher than I would have put a doorbell.Video quality is brilliant and I was able to set up motion zone to avoid the tree setting off the camera in the wind. Tested the siren and it would certainly alert neighbours should it sound. Would definitely recommend this to others.I've not bought the upgraded subscription but even on basic subscription I get enough features I need.

Having purchased a rival brand camera and then had to return it and its replacement, I went for a complete change and have not regretted it. The camera feels a good quality, was easy to set up, provides good quality pictures night and day without a subscription. I had one problem more to do with my phone and it picking up a live feed. I contacted the help line and was immediately helped to correct the problem. A very happy customer

I like this brand a lot although for the cost I would have wanted the ability to be able to remotely move the camera (pan, tilt and zoom PTZ) which this does not have.However it does have some very good features and for a static camera it's super easy to set up and install with 8 metres of power cable making it easy to locate this CCTV camera and plug in.What else I like about this camera is the 24hour cloud storage you get for free. Unlike some other brands which you have to subscribe to, this camera and brand doesn't require you to pay a monthly subscription unless you want longer time to view footage. You get a free cloud storage of the last 24hours of events which should be adequate if you're planning on using this similar to a ring doorbell system.With motion detection and push notifications to your mobile device you can monitor your property/home from anywhere.The camera also features really good night vision, a very bright floodlight and siren which can scare away any potential intruders. 2 way audio allows you to hear what's going on as well as speaking with someone who is at your door etc.The camera is built exceptionally well and can be located anywhere, doesn't matter if it rains as the camera is weatherproof.This particular camera uses radar motion detection which has the advantage of detecting movement further than PIR detectors and is always actively searching for movement making it very reliable for detection.The price is a little on the high side in my opinion however you are getting free 24hr cloud storage which could negate the cost compared to other brands. Something to consider before purchasing are the subscription plans that come with WiFi connected camera systems.There are alternatives out there that have all the features that this camera has with dedicated SD card storage but I've found this particular camera to be pretty reliable for connection and streaming footage back to my mobile device and in high definition as well.Some other brands may well be cheaper but their apps tend to be unreliable and basic where as Toucan have developed both their app and product to a high standard.This is a good choice and with the free 24hr cloud storage is definitely one to consider.

So far, I have been very pleased with this TOUCAN Wi-Fi 1080P security camera. Build quality is excellent, the housing is constructed of tough plastic and the mounting bracket is metal. The camera is fairly hefty but the bracket is well up to the task.Mounting the camera bracket to the corner of the house with the 4 screws was quick and easy. The power cable has a total length of 8 metres which I found was plenty to mount the camera in the desired position. Luckily, I was able to run the cable through the wall with my satellite cable. There are plenty of 12V DC extension cables available on Amazon if you need more length.Setup of the camera was not difficult. I downloaded the Toucan Smart Home APP from the Google play store, turned on the camera and followed the instructions within the APP. Following entering the password for my BT home hub the camera which was recognised, and the flashing light on the camera then went out. Although this security camera operates at 2.4Ghz I didn't have to turn off the 5Ghz on my dual band router/home hub when doing the setup, this made it very simple. Operation of the camera within the Toucan APP is very good, it connects and shows a live image very quickly. The 1080P image is very good, with bright colours and good contrast. The night vision works really well in black and white, and with the floodlight you get a full colour image. The floodlight is a really good addition, and this can be adjust for brightness. At full brightness it lights up my whole garden, this is an excellent deterrent. There are plenty of adjustable settings within the APP, including pre-set selectable announcements and an alarm.As I have the Amazon Alexa APP is installed, I added Toucan skills and enabled. The options within the APP are limited to a live image, and the operation of the microphone and speaker. The live image seems to be of lower quality within the Alexa APP.There is no slot for a memory card, but video events are uploaded and saved for 24 hours and you can download up to 5 video events in the 24-hour period. For longer periods there is a paid subscription service available.Overall, this Wi-Fi security camera works really well, and being cable powered it should make it more reliable. The Toucan software is easy to use and has lots of options. This definitely feels and works like a more profession security camera.I hope you find my review helpful
