Just opened our 17k gallon pool. After vacuuming algae to waste output, refilling fiberglass pool with softened (not well) water adjusting ph and alkalinity used 2 bags of shock. Ran for 2 hours, added 1 bag, ran for about 8 hours, added 1 bag and water is fairly clear, best opening in years overnight. Did add starrup liquid algaecide with first shock dose, and calcium for hardness after the 3rd bag. Key was closing pool in winter with 5ppm chlorine and a bottle of algaecide.

This shock works wonderfully in my pool. Keeps my chlorine at a predictable level. I see a huge difference in the quality of this shock compared to what I had been using. I use it for weekly maintenance and haven’t had an algae episode all summer, and it’s been hot. I will continue to purchase the Shock in the future.

What are the only ones I saw at 73%. I did what others have recommended and dissolved in a bucket of water first and then poured into the pool to help it.

These have a higher concentration than the ones for sale near me and work great to clear up my pool. I will definitely order these again.

This is great shock. Have been using this particular one for several swimming seasons now. Dissolves well into water and does a great job in keeping your pool water clear

Needs to be ordered a week or two ahead of time. But costs about 2/3rd of the equivalent in my local pool store.
