Last year our garden got demolished by elk so we were looking for a simple and affordable deterrent. We purchased one of these at the beginning of the summer. It worked very well through most of the summer and the "daisy chaining" option was nice for us being able to have a hose attached for targeted watering. Very convenient. Halfway through the summer, it stopped working; however, their warranty process was very easy and we had a replacement shipped out to us very quickly. Last week my neighbor told me that the herd of elk had come through and munched through his garden and he said that there were some elk hoof marks in our yard (but our garden was intact). I watched through our security footage and saw the elk work their way into our yard and towards the garden and then suddenly turn and all ran when the sprinkler activated. We were VERY skeptical of whether the sprinkler would deter as large of an animal as an elk in the rainy Pacific Northwest, but it drove the pack off like they'd seen a ghost (great viewing!) It really works and I'm considering getting another one for even more coverage! I'd recommend for the easy of use, convenience, reliable customer support, and definite effectiveness!

This worked perfect for 2-3 weeks. One day, I put it on continuous sprinkler mode to water my flowers and when I came back 30 min later to turn it back to motion detector, it would not turn off. I even turned it to off and it kept sprinkling. We had to turn the water off to get it to stop. I opened it, took out battery pack, unplugged solar panel, put it all back together and turned water on, still in sprinkler mode. After several minutes of just twisting knobs etc, it finally stopped but now just works when it wants to. I have it on 4, highest sensitivity and can walk right in front of it, nothing. It may detect me one time a day when I walk in front of it 10-20 times. I contacted customer service 2 weeks ago. Was told another dept handled these products and they would forward my ticket. Still waiting so I emailed CS again today. Amazon sent an email inquiring if my issue had been handled and I responded no, but that didn’t do anything. Glad I have wasted $40 and can’t return it now. Would love my money back or I would even be willing to try another one. I needed 3 total, but wanted to try one first. It’s looking like i will be trying another brand instead 😫 Update- CS responded and sent me a replacement. I was hopeful, but the replacement has done the exact same thing. It runs consistently regardless of the setting and I have to turn the water off to get it to stop. I have emailed CS again and asked for my money back and to return the two products. I will update with response.

Works well but limited sensor coverage, would be much better with a sensor that picked up motion 180 degrees. I have to change the angle of it regularly as the cats figure out where to go to avoid triggering it. It has helped keep cats off our deck. They spray our grill covers and I don’t appreciate that.

This seems like the best option for a solar powered motion sprinkler. We tried a few different models, but they were all very poor quality. This one worked great… but we only got about a year out of it. It just stopped working the other day. Nothing changed, it just won't turn on anymore. We need this for our garden, so we're ordering another one. Hopefully it lasts longer.

Product is great and has been keeping the deliquent cats out of the yard. It is very sensitive and activates easily even on lowest setting. Has definitely altered the behavior of the mangy cats. Two things... 1.) the packaging this was sent in was extremely flimsy. On the first shipment the bag was ripped open and the sprinkler was in pieces. Took a gamble on getting it replaced and it arrived in the same terrible ripped packaging but this time was not broken. These should definitely be shipped in boxes and not in bags. Amazon needs to get this shipping issue fixed. The sprinklers are fragile in general so be careful when handling them. The sprinkler head pieces are brittle plastic and can break easily. 2.) it seems the sprinklers are prone to leaking eventually. Even with new hoses and fittings they eventually spring a leak at the sprinkler connection point if you leave the water on. I have 2 currently and they both are leaking when in use. Other than that, this is a great product and a game changer for deterring the pests in your yard. Forget about other things like ultra sonic devices, spike mats, lights or sprays/powders. This product actually works!! It's fairly loud and shoots a large amount of water for several seconds! It scares the pests instantly and changes their bad behavior. Would definitely recommend.

The biggest problem with this product is that the motion sensors are very unreliable. They go off when cars pass on the street but not when you walk right in front of it. They go off when nothing is happening, but not when I'm actively TRYING to get them to go off. Of course, if I move them manually, they go off. So perhaps, it does help some if they ever go off for real critters, but it's hard to tell. I also think heat makes them not work and any sun on the motion sensor makes them not work. Of course, without a bigger bill on the top of them, the sun does hit them in the morning. Very frustrating. Sad too, because I have always loved my Black & Decker products in the past. But these just don't measure up. I do plan on calling customer support though and seeing if they have any suggestions. I won't return them because we've had them too long, and I continue to hope they are helping some. But my prized plants got eaten down to the ground, so... I guess it just depends on the day. :(

I had a Skunk who tore up my Lawn because I had Grubs. Took care of the grubs..but he kept coming back to where he found grubs before. Trapping was above my pay grade. Found this "Solar powered Motion sensor" sprinkler. Perfect. No more Skunk. Ok...Read manual. The "Riser" leaked..even w teflon tape...took it out. Leak estimated as 2 drips per hour, so maybe half a gallon overnight...ie..no bueno. After remove riser, out in the sun a few days, no more leaks. Adjustments...clips adjust to 180 degrees or more..or less... Motion sensor goes from 0 to S - sprinkler on all time...I'm at 4...30 feet...it engages cars going by on the street.. Good sensor. (ie..if water is not on...it just clicks...water on...5 second spray 180..) Dial on head is fine spray or wide...I left it alone...narrow spray. This product works as advertised...it takes some trial and error...but for $39.99...No more skunk.. AND since I now OWN it...No more critter problems. Lastly...I put a zip-tie on the faucet to show me how much to turn the water knob on...just a few degrees, and it just hits the sidewalk. It's more the shock of the sprinkler coming on than the water, really. Critter problem? this is the answer. And..you can get more of them, and put them in line with hoses connecting. Very satisfied, and it's actually quite a "hoot". Customer Cool 11/3/2023 Update: Cloudy Rainy days...and the unit didn't work. It actually had a "red spot" blinking in the front...like ETs heart...showing low battery power. ie..no Solar recharge. I removed the batteries..put them on a recharge charger I have..and it charged batts enough so replacing them with a sunny day brought them back. Bottom line: Solar is only good when the Sun is out. Not sure if I'll need to replace batts. AND they are specific...not NiCad... Customer Cool 11/21/23

We bought this device to stop neighbourhood cats coming onto the property. Not because we don't like cats but because they defecate on our lawn and gravel driveway. I have only had the device for a short time and located in the gravel drive the whole time. I only saw the cat there once because I'd turned it off and forgot to turn it back on. Since I placed it there...no more cat crap and apart from the one time, no more cats sunning itself either. It comes on with a vengeance sprays water and makes a racket that would give an errant cat a heart attack. It was straight forward to assemble and took a little bit of adjusting to get it dialed in. Very happy with Cat-Be-Gone and wish I had bought two because I still have the back lawn to deal with. You can hook up more than one to a hose if you have a large area but that wouldn't work in our situation

This was a good deterrent for neighbors cats messing on our lawn, until it broke. The hose end seal just broke off and it kept leaking. Shame they discontinued the model.

Doing a good job protecting my fish pond

I bought it to deter foxes coming to my garden at nights and it's so far so good. The first impression is the material looks much better than other none brand ones. It does leak a bit when first installed or after spray activated, but after awhile the leaking just stopped so I guess the "leaking" is more or less the result when spray activated. The only down side so far is it doesn't have Day and Night modes, so i have to switch the tap off every morning. It's kind of discourage my cat from enjoying the garden during the day due to the "click" motion detective sound is still on, therefore, 4 stars.

Ok so where to start This is of a better quality than I had before Had to import from the USA Amazon was very good on delivery However the motion sensor seems to have a mind of its own which makes this product useless I was hoping to solve a pigeon infestation problem sadly it’s back to the drawing board to rid myself of pigeon’s in a humane way
