Most people who own boats know to turn off the main battery switch when the boat is not in use. This radio works like a car radio, requiring power to the yellow wire to prevent memory loss. A decent radio uses something called Non-volatile memory (NVM), which does not require electricity to remember. The fact that Sony does not understand the use of a battery cut-off switch means they don’t know anything about making a marine radio.

Ice had it less than a year and when I switch it to Sirius the screen displays "check your tuner" and the light goes out. Sirius stated my signal is good and it's the sterio that has the issue. Need help please!

First time it got splashed even slightly, it quit working correctly. I disassembled the face plate and it was wet inside. Dried it and it worked again. It sprinkled on the way to the boat ramp. Quit working again. This time I cannot make it work even after checking for moisture. I'm sorry, but a marine stereo that cannot handle a spritz, is NOT a marine stereo. Total waste of money. I should have bought a Fusion from the start.

Stereo keeps rebooting, maybe a faceplate not being secure on the base. But it's gotten so bad.

Great radio. Put it in my pontoon boat. Works excellent.
