Does this work with standard R-134A cans?

No, its left threaded. You can't mix r134a and r1234yf or you will ruin your ac system.

Can i check the level of refrigerant with this withou having a can?

It will show the pressure you have on the aystem

I ordered this hose for r1234yf however mine say on the hose that it’s r134a is this the same because r134a is not what I ordered ?

Mine too said R134A but had a sticker that said it was an error and the hose and meter is compatible with R1234YF. Hope this helps.

Does this work on a 2014 Cadillac xts ?

Yes it should...to prevent the use of the wrong type of refrigerant they changed the quick release fitting size so this only this size will fit...
