Non stick pan
I bought this because it had positive reviews and ratings from reliable sources. Iโm not disappointed at all. The pan handle feels solid and has a good shape. I also like the shape and height of the sides. It makes flipping foods easy. The lid fits well and feels high quality. Like any non stick pan I donโt heat the pan past medium heat so I canโt say how well it would cook foods that need a high temperature. I found it to be perfect for eggs, vegetables, and sauces. Make sure not to ever use metal utensils with this pan.

1 Star Customer Service on Otherwise 5 Star Product.
Beware of product support. This is my second OXO pan. Up until this purchase I was very pleased with OXO. However, a few months after my purchase, I noticed food beginning to stick in one area of the pan. Quite rapidly this got worse. The area where food sticks is about the size of an egg. In the center of that area, the coating chipped. Now, oxo is a great brand and I assumed exchanging the pan wouldn't be a problem. As per the OXO website, I filled out the form. A few days later, I got an email stating that warranty issues were actually handled by a different company and gave me their email address. Why they couldn't forward my issue to that other company I don't know. But with extra hoops to jump through like this I wonder how many issues they avoid. I forwarded my complaint. A few days later I got a reply asking for photos of the pan. Again, a step I followed when I completed the original form, but apparently didn't get forwarded with my second email. So included photos of yet pan and sent those along. Today I got a reply explaining that chipping was normal and the pan was actually safe. She completely ignored the fact that this expensive no-stick pan is sticking. The chipping happened after the pan lost its no-stick surface. So, I'm throwing away this garbage pan, and incredibly disappointed by OXO's response. Not so much about the pan, but I was truly a fan of OXO's quality and just assumed an issue like this would be met with a bit more of a sense of urgency. Clearly, OXO doesn't care.

Excellent pan all the way around...
I went with this pan as my previous nonstick of another brand is no longer in production. I was well pleased with it for many years and didn't see a reason to not purchase another. This one was among the (very) few I was considering. I've never been disappointed in an OXO product of any type, and this pan is no exception. It is extremely easy to clean, I generally use a wet paper towel and a drop of dish soap. Nothing, and I mean nothing has stuck to this pan enough to need anything further. It heats up evenly across the bottom, and holds heat particularly when adding cold ingredients or cooking in batches. The handle is solidly attached and comfortable to hold even when scooping food onto different plates when serving. It's light enough to not be fatiguing either. Given the comparison to my last nonstick pan of this size, I anticipate this remaining usable and in good condition for years to come. I really wish I'd purchased it sooner.

Great skillet!
Awesome frying pan! Even heat distribution, scratch resistant, easy to clean and maintain. Great size and good weight. A very good value, Iโd purchase again!

Good, not great, Non-Stick frying pan.
I've ordered this Oxo frying pan twice now. The first one lasted about 1 1/2 years before the non-stick coating was no longer effective. I use it frequently and always only hand wash it, rather than putting into the dishwasher, in order to make it last longer. Even with that, it began to stick after only about 1 year and 6 months. I do use it once or twice a week and really like this frying pan, so I decided to order a replacement. The reason I only gave it 4, rather than 5 stars, is because with hand washing it only, with mild soap, and for the price, I think the non-stick coating should be more durable. Other than that, it is a very good frying pan while it lasts.

Non-stick...for a time.
When I first for this pan in October 2024, it was the best pan I'd ever used. Nothing would stick and it would pretty much rinse clean. I've never used anything abrasive on it nor have I ever used metal utensils. Within about 6 months, things started sticking. I don't have anything to check the temperature of the pan but maybe it got too high at some point? Don't know. I never burnt anything or left it on the flame without food. Now in August 2025, it sticks as much as any other pan I've ever used and maybe even more. Nothing is peeling and nothing is scratched. Still looks good but may even have a slight warp to it now. Will never buy OXO again. Probably never spend this much on a frying pan going forward either. Definitely do not recommend.

OXO 12" Pan
This is a quality pan. Frys evenly and cleans up beautifully. A medium heat is recommended for this pan and it works well. You don't need to use a real high heat, even for searing, and it's recommended that you don't for longevity . Heats up quickly. Can use in oven. Follow instructions for pan and it will serve you well. Happy with purchase.

Terrible non-stick properties!
I generally love OXO, but this pan has terrible non-stick properties. First, you're not supposed to get the pan too hot and you're instructed not to use it above medium. But the point of a non-stick skillet is to brown items that want to stick, meaning it regularly needs to be used at medium high. The non-stick was okay the first couple uses, but degraded very quickly and food started sticking. Even with Teflon, some food browning and sticking on is normal. But this pan is even hard to scrub off. The picture shows stuck on food halfway through a wash. I had to use a dish soap baking soda paste to get the rest clean. I would not buy this again, and in general do not think ceramic non-stick works.

Light, well designed
Love the design. OXO has become a favourite brand for me. I first bought their toilet brush cleaner and stand with a clever tulip opening, then purchased their zester, juicer, peeler and grater. Now, trying the lidded frypan. Very light. Gorgeous lid. The handle on lid and pan are nice to the touch. Lid also fits my other pans. The non stick on this is the best I've had, and ive bought from cheapest to expensive. So loving that. I agree with a review I read before purchasing, that it would have been nice to have it deeper. Perhaps they may make one. I also bought a little sister to this one with out lid and its brilliant also. Very sweet. Beautifully designed highly recommend. Easy to use, they both have a good balanced handle. The other frypan I use is a Chasseur, I put this in the oven with the oxo lid on top for a frutata and it worked well. BTY I would've used the new pan but my oven is over 50 years old and small inside... its a Early Kooka, Australian made and packs a punch of gas powered heat. The lid worked well. I hope this helps. I always like to read people appions.

Non-stick? NOT!
This is the stickiest pan I've ever owned. Very disappointed. This from GreenPan support: "Fill the pan halfway with water and bring it to a simmer for about 2 minutes. Pour out the water and place the pan on a safe sturdy surface. Carefully use a Melamine sponge (Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or our Restoring Sponge) and a little plain water on the warm surface to wipe away the food or stuck on oil. This should do the trick. The restoring sponge recommended for deep cleaning is perfectly safe. Our Product Team has tested this product for safety and durability. The sponge contains pores, which when moved around your pan, enables it to grab food and oil particles. Our cookware is coated and sealed and therefore, nothing will leach into your pan. Once the deep cleaning is complete, you may wash your pan as you normally would." It did help a little.

Needs improvement
After some thought, I'm updating my review. I think that I expected too much. It's not a perfect thing, but it's okay. There are better options.

Area on pan where the nonstick coat is defective
This would be a superior product except that there is an area about 4" diameter where the nonstick coating is defective. In this area food sticks like crazy. I didn't use the pan until the 30 day period for returns expired so I now have to spent time with customer service trying to see if they will honour the warranty (a previous review had me not feeling optimistic). I'll update/adjust my rating if I'm able to get a replacement product.

Too shallow
Great pan and love the lid but itโs too shallow to do most of what I bought it for. Nowhere could I find the pan capacity and the pictures are misleading.
