This bike did not require the handlebar inserts as the bars are already threaded for the provided bolts. These are great little mirrors with one major drawback, that they don't tighten very well around the provided bar ends (hence the 4-star). A few wraps of electrical tape around the bar end where the mirror is attached fixed the issue for me. Otherwise, the mirrors are a good size, and offer a better field of view than the stock mirrors (which gave me a great view of my shoulders and not much else).
