they break too easily

No instructions are provided with this kit and I think those who gave negative reviews did not know how to install these correctly. The plastic quality is not exactly the same but it’s fine if you install it right and don’t abuse them.Here’s the right way to install:•Remove the original ones from the top frame. •Unbolt one of the mounting brackets from the roll bar.•Place a new knuckle in the the end of a tube with the knob facing inboard, pushing in as far as it will go but do not hammer them in.•Clip the bracket that you removed from the roll bar to the new knuckle for leverage and push in while gently twisting back and forth until it fully seats with the slot for the bracket aligned as good as you can to how the old ones were . DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUT RETENTION SCREWS IN YET!•Repeat until all 4 knuckles are in, seated and somewhat in alignment with how the the brackets are mounted to the roll bar.•Reinstall the roll bar bracket you removed earlier. •Clip new knuckles to roll bar brackets rotating as necessary by gently twisting the tubes and making any final adjustments with slip jaw pliers.•Once the bows are attached, sweep them through the arc of travel making sure that they are free and do not bind at any point, again, rotating them as necessary to make sure they are free in all positions.•Only after you are sure that the knuckles are aligned, knobs facing inboard and do not bind at all, pre-drill each hole with a 7/64 drill and install the lock screw on each knuckle. Boom! You’re done and you didn’t break them. Enjoy the new found freedom of 1 less step in the 736 step process of removing a convertible top from a Jeep.

Got these and idea is great installed them used once and the front two broke the second i unlatched it. Since they give you for a 4 door i had 2 more. Put those on samw thing snapped. Rears are working but just disappointed.

Once they’re installed they’re awesome! However the install process was a pain. While trying to screw then into the frame two of them broke at the screw point and had to be drilled out.

THese are made of cheap plastic that immediatly broke when lowering top, they do not tolerate any flex . Easy to install into tubes but are going to be 2x as hard to remove to replace with a better product. The idea of the quick release is what sold me.

Only buy this product if you want practice for installing the quality ones you will need to buy to replace these! Installed on both sides and they broke during the first use. I would say the quality is poor but that would imply there was any quality to the products to begin with

They fit well however...beware, the plastic is hard amd a bit brittle. I installed the first one and when I put the screw in through the side it broke the plastic insert part in half. You need to mark and drill small pilot holes for the screws or they will split. Luckily my JKU did not require the 2 larger diameter ones so I ground one of those down with a mini grinder to fit and replace the broken one.

Work pretty well. Had to turn the bottom ones so they don’t touch the upper ones when you close the roof but definitely better than my home made ones
