I use this for my son's hair! He has really nice hair so I like to make sure it's well taken care of. He is mixed with African American, Mexican, and Caucasian so his hair is curly and he likes to keep it long it's important for me to get a strong curl cream that has many good qualities. For me this protects his hair and keeps it moisturized without weighing down his curls or making them crunchy, that being said a little goes a long way and if you add too much it will get those white flakes on the scalp so don't over apply. It's thick so distribute it evenly and focus on the curl patterns rather then the thickness, I have come to find that using really small amounts and focusing on the curls does better then just grabbing a big amounts and rubbing it all over. I have curly hair myself but my mom didn't know how to do my hair so these are things I learned as I grew up and wish I knew. I think it does add shine, but if you are like my son if you sleep rather restless after night 2 it's gonna need a touch up because the frizz will start to happen. I am very happy with the product for smelling nice, providing hold and curl definition, being affordable and lasting awhile I usually buy two jars at once and my sons hair wash days vary between every other day to 3 days and they last me about 4 months but keep in mind he does not have a sensitive scalp so I am not sure on how this product would be with that case and I honestly apply it really thin on his top layer to avoid the flakes that have happened from over applying in the past.

I bought this for my daughter because she has naturally curly/wavy hair and I wanted something to help bring them out. I followed the directions and it left her hair greasy and heavy. Her curls were no where. This picture is from at least 4 hours after applying a very small amount to her head. I am assuming this happened because her hair is fine and thin. Pros: the product smells AMAZING! It is super thick and rich. It feels good quality. The container was also larger than I expected. So for about $5 it was a good deal because you only need a small amount. It is also ever nourishing. It was heavy and greasy on my daughter’s hair. But once we washed and rinsed after, her hair was super soft. Cons: if you have thin or fine hair. It is too much for it. Even a small amount. It didn’t help with her curls at all. Overall I feel like it is a well made product that is a good value. If you have fine or thin hair I don’t think it’s for you. It does makes a very nice hair mask though. I think I’ll keep it for that purpose. But for a curling product it didn’t work for us. Since I bought it for that purpose, I only gave it 4 starts.

the hold is exceptional in this cream but it tends to make your curls very saggy. for instance i have 3a hair and it just makes my curls look kinda greasy. but it makes up for those flaws with its moisturizing abilities, when i ran out of conditioner i just used this for a couple days and no one could tell.

I found this product last summer for my granddaughter who has tight curls. We got a spray bottle of it and just for a spray bottle it was almost $11. But we've kept buying it because it works so well. Then I found it in this paste form for a lot cheaper on Amazon. I'm very pleased with it the way that it works and I think it's a good value for the money because the container is really large. It smells fantastic too.
