At first I was worried about purchasing this blanket as I've always liked the weight of a comforter. But this blanket is perfect. It is super lightweight but is large enough that you can wrap yourself in it. It's super soft and silky and it really does keep you cool at night! No complaint here, it's a worthy investment. My kiddo even uses one! I'm hoping this will cut down on our cooling bill!

It's a shame I had to return this. It's truly heavenly. The feel of it is cool and the weight of it is heavy and comforting. But I feel like when I put a cover on it it might still be too warm for the summer so I found a silk one that might be better. I really wish I could keep both but maybe I'll purchase this another time again.

Very expensive comforter, but it is softer than silk and very high-end material. The comforter keeps your body cool at night; my wife does not have night sweat anymore from hot flash. I am now looking at two pillowcases that selling for $ 80. It is very expensive, but if it gives you a well-rested good night sleep. After falling in love with the REST Cooling Sheets, I figured I’d try the Cooling Comforter too. I went in skeptical (because let’s face it, everything claims to be cooling these days), but I figured if anyone could pull it off, it’d be REST.And once again—they absolutely nailed it.As a 45-year-old, 5'8", 300-pound human furnace who usually sleeps under a fan tornado and still wakes up drenched in sweat, comforters are usually off-limits for me. Even so-called “lightweight” ones trap heat like I’m being slow-roasted.But not this one!The REST Cooling Comforter somehow manages to be cozy without being heavy, and cool without being flimsy. It feels refreshing the second it touches your skin—cool to the touch, like the sheets—and it stays that way. I’m now sleeping under a comforter for the first time in years and waking up dry, comfortable, and actually rested. Imagine that!Highlights:Genuinely cool-feeling and stays that way all night. Perfect weight—light enough for breathability, but still feels like a proper comforter. Doesn’t cling or stick to you like some cheaper ones do. Pairs perfectly with the REST Cooling Sheets for the ultimate combo.I’ve actually caught myself sleeping without the fan on more than once, which is unheard of in my house. And yep, already bought a second one.Minor wish list: Just like with the sheets—I really hope REST starts making more cooling accessories. I need a REST cooling body pillow cover, blanket for the couch, maybe even undershirts . . . basically, I want to live wrapped in this material 24/7.Bottom line: If you’re a hot sleeper who thought comforters were out of the question, this one might change your mind completely. It did for me.

I highly suggest you give this Rest comforter a try!Original review: I’m a very hot sleeper and it’s very difficult to stay comfortable at night unless I have the air conditioning blasting and fan blowing on me even in winter. So when I saw the Rest ads I thought this would be perfect. Believe me when I say, I’m the exact customer type for cooling sheets/blankets.I’ll start off with the things I love and then explain why only three stars later.First, the comforter is incredibly soft. It’s very dangerous because you’ll have a difficult time getting out of bed. The stitching and material quality are well made, as you would expect at this price point. It is very cool to the touch at first, so there’s a rush of dopamine that hits when you touch it. It’s also very light and easy to put in the bed or fold up.I know it sounds like a glowing review, and for most people I would highly suggest if you sleep warm. But, my issue is, I become a sauna heater at night.The comforter, while initially cool to the touch, doesn’t stay cool. And it claims to keep you warm at night if it gets too cold so it’s a good all season blanket, but I would say that this will keep you warm in the winter but not cool enough in the dead of summer. The comforter is also not very breathable, which is what makes it more swampy and too warm for me. Unfortunately, it just heats up and radiates too much heat for me to stay comfortable. This is why I knocked of two stars for me.On a side note, I haven’t tried their sheet set yet, not sure if I’ll purchase because I already have other sheets that do a great job at keeping cool and staying breathable.

The media could not be loaded. I was very skeptical about this blanket but I’m a believer now! My room gets extremely hot at night and with a comforter I’m constantly kicking the covers off and on. With this blanket I don’t have to do that anymore and always feel comfortable. In the photos online they almost look velvety but they are more of a nylon/polyester feel (reminds me of the feel of the outside of a puffer jacket but softer and doesn’t stick to you). When you get under it, it is very cool on your skin almost like a fan is on you. Once your body temperature warms the area your body is in, it only gets that warm inside the blanket. Then if you move to a new area it’s cool all over again. There have been a few times where I got a little too warm (because my own body was getting hot) so I expose the under side of the blanket for a minute and it’s cool all over again. It is about the thickness of a quilt and not bulky like a comforter.
