It only has 104 beads + 1 This item is of no use to me. I do my japa with 108 beads mala. Also one broken bead.

I really am happy with this mala. The beads have a beautiful feel to them and the well woven cord makes the mala perfect. Many lower priced mala's are on either elastic cord, which creates too much distance between the beads so that instead of 'blind thumbing' them whilst chanting you have to start to physically start to search and reach for them breaking your concentration. This mala however has tightly woven knots between each bead so they stay in place and the thumbing across is easy.For the first time in ages I completed 1080 repetitions of the Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare mantra without losing count or place as the beads are so easily thumbed.I wish I had found this mala a long time ago!Hare Krishna!
