There is an opening to be able to get at the handle for easy carrying, and the cover itself is effortless to put on.The packaging was very cute! Use it every time we go out with our new born and we get stopped constantly by people admiring it. The fabric is so soft that we even use it as a liner in our bassinet! It fits our Britax B-Agile car seat perfectly and always stays put - no having to fiddle with it once it's on. I sometimes even put it on just half way and fold it back in the car so my baby can get the cool air conditioning but still be protected from the sun (and toys her brother may decide to "hand" her). I didn't find it great as a nursing cover but I'm not a fan of covers in general so that could just be me. Blocks sun, wind & rain AND an added bonus is when you have baby covered in the car seat when out, people don't tend to get as close so less germs in their face - awesome!! The cover is wide and stretchy enough to fit around my child and myself without feeling restricted or clostrophobic. The shape is wide at the bottom and then funnels to a smaller opening up at the top where you would wear it around your beck. This allows for privacy, and yet you can still very easily peep down to your little one nursing without trouble.As a carrier cover this is wonderful as well. Fits my Graco Click Connect bucket carrier perfectly and keeps the sun and wind out of my baby's face. Love it!Only thing I wish is that the print was on both sides so if o was wearing it in between feedings around my neck you wouldn't see white on one side and a pretty print on the other. But that's a personal problem.
