Its a glorified egg carton foam pad. It's not worth the almost 30 bucks. Don't get me wrong.. I'm not unhappy with the product. It added comfortable firmness to my bed, but it lacks the features advertised. For the price, I can't complain too much. It adds just enough comfort to be noticeable, but it's by no means dreamy. I bought this specific topper for the "gel" factor, but that's a questionable component. Altogether - good for the price, but if you want "sink into a cloud" foamy, you're gonna have to pay more. Also - expect to give it a few hours to unfold itself from shipping. It will eventually become full sized. I was not impressed but can see that the comfort may be better on a “regular” mattress but would not recommend for an RV. It is also important to know that the 2” measurement is to the top of the egg shaped areas, not a solid 2” base with extra for the design. I was not able to return as we needed it for a trip the next day and something was better than nothing. (I also had to cut to fit because it was put in an RV).
