The length of the scissors is good for those of us that are not as flexible as we used to be. They do a good job of cutting moderately thick/hard nails. My initial order was lost by the carrier, and Wittex customer was excellent in dealing with the problem. They responded promptly to my email and shipped out a replacement immediately. The scissors do ship from Germany, which is not really clear from the item description. Sometimes I can peel my toenails myself with my fingers... These Scissors are of good length but the scissor holes could be wider and possibly thicker to absorb some of that finger stress when clipping.. Additionally the blades could be a bit sharper and thicker as well.. I do better cutting my nails with a pair of cheap kitchen utility scissors.. I had hopes for these scissors because of the two positive reviews. I needed them for several hard toenails. The finger holes and grip are nice, but they were not sharp enough or strong enough to cut the nails without a lot of force, equivalent to a toenail clipper. They did not seem as advertised. In frustration I decided after having previously tried other scissors and clippers to try the Fiskars Softouch Micro Tip Scissors I had been given for pruning, and general cutting. To my surprise they worked quite well, without a lot of force.
