good for petite build with large chest
I ordered a couple different brands of nursing tops and these in size small fit me best. I am 5'2" and was wearing a 32G bra during my pregnancy (haven't been measured since but I'm at least that now, 32DD before I was pregnant), approx 142 lbs. I don't usually write reviews, but as a small person with large chest and small waist, short height, I felt this review was worth sharing.Pros:1. They have a shelf bra, which provides extra support, I could go without a bra outside the house and be comfortable enough, especially with a shirt over the top. No way I could say that about the other brands that don't have the shelf. I prefer things to be a little tight on the chest vs. loose. Size up if you prefer the latter.2. They are not overly long so there's not a bunch of extra fabric over the waist like the other brands (which I found excessive and ridiculous).3. The body/trunk part is nice and small - I'm quite petite in my waist/hips. I appreciate the slight compression this provides - again the other brands were too big.4. The chest area is large enough to accommodate my large breasts. Even the medium size in the other brand was not quite generous enough for my chest but I was swimming in the rest of the tank. I think if you are smaller chested, these would still fit very well because they are nice and stretchy/compressive.5. I can slip my reusable nursing pads inside (bamboo style bought on Amazon) and they stay in place wonderfully. These do not have a separate compartment for a nursing pad but they don't need it because they are snug enough in the shelf bra to stay in place. The pad does show through the tank... but I don't know what pad wouldn't.6. Price is right. Quality is decent.Cons:1. The side boob fabric thing is too long, like other reviewers mentioned, but if you are careful about how you tuck in around your breast this is not a deal breaker.2. That's it!

Wish I would have purchased earlier!
*Update - Two years later, another pregnancy, and I just bought another set! These are absolutely the best. Pregnancy, nursing, postpartum, normal life... I've been wearing these pretty much constantly and they hold up great. Velcro does stick to the fabric, so watch for the sticky tabs on diapers. Also, I have some serious cleavage in these... But I really don't care. They are SO convenient and versatile. Great under jackets or other shirts and incredibly comfortable.I love these! Wish I would have had some for my previous years of pregnancies/nursing, but better late than never! They do run bigger than I thought. I sized up due to a large chest, but didn't need to. These wouldn't be sufficient for running or any other high impact activity, but I've worn them to bike, walk, and around the house, and they are perfect for that. They're also nice and long... No need to worry about riding up! They have a built-in bra, but I've still been wearing one under for support. Someone with a smaller chest probably wouldn't need to.

Good tanks, comfy fit, convenient
I have a really hard time with sizes, especially with maternity clothes, so I apologize for the length, but I hope this helps. These are nice tanks. Good, stretchy, comfy material - exactly what I was looking for as I cannot stand anything uncomfortable or too tight/clingy in the wrong areas right now (I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant). They are long, which I appreciate now and I assume I will appreciate post-baby too. For reference, I am 5'0", pre-pregnancy 116lbs and have gained a bit more than the recommended 35lbs. I had a hard time trying to decide which size to buy because having such a small frame, a big belly and having gained so much in a relatively short period of time makes it difficult to know what will fit (and sizes are usually all over the place). I went with the L/XL based on the size chart and the reviews. They do fit, but they are large in the bust (and I have a larger bust). I decided to keep this size because I am a first time mom and I have no idea what to expect in terms of sizing while nursing, but I do think I could have probably ordered the S/M and been fine because of the stretch in the material. I also have not yet washed them, so I'm not sure how much or if they will shrink. I prefer to have something a little bigger than too small, especially right now and post-baby, but if they work out well I may purchase a size down as things "go back to normal". Because they are a little big in the chest I wouldn't say they look great, but they are comfortable and functional and that is much more important to me at this point. Overall, these seem like great "new mom" shirts and I would definitely recommend. I bought them to wear under the Free to Live Women's Criss Cross Cardigans and my Old Navy yoga pants (under the belly version have been amazing through my whole pregnancy) as kind of a new mom uniform.

Buy these!
I am 7 weeks postpartum and I live in these tanks. They are comfortable to sleep in and wear around the house. The material is nice and stretchy and feels good- not too restrictive. In fact I like that they give a little smoothing and help and support to my postpartum mid-section. The clasps are easy to hook and unhook, even one-handed. I am 5’4” and was 200 lbs at 41 weeks and I wore them no problem while still pregnant. Now after baby I’m 180 lbs and find my pregnant belly didn’t stretch them out of shape. I would say they provide light to medium support in the chest. I’m nursing and the girls did get larger (I might be a D cup at the moment)- the band part of the built in shelf bra is fine, but the straps might be a tad too loose. I sized up from my norm to make sure the tanks could accommodate my chest postpartum and so the tanks themselves wouldn’t be restricting.. one size up was plenty.. almost too big, but still comfortable. These were worth the cost and I bought 2 sets. Wish there was a third set of colors to choose from!
