I installed the Fitcamx 4K front camera on my wife's 2024 Rav4. The installation was very easy and took about 5 to 10 minutes max. It truly does look OEM when installed and the plastic is the exact same quality as the Toyota OEM piece I removed. I'm impressed by the quality.I did have issues getting the Fitcamx software to stay connected, but that was my fault by not turning off cellular and bluetooth while trying to pair and connect the software on my phone with the camera. Once I figured it out it worked great. The video quality is as good or better than expected when replaying from my home computer with a large screen. The playback was smooth and easy to make out license plates on other cars. I will be buying a Fitcamx for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma next now that I've seen how the product works. I'll be reviewing the videos after my wife has had a few days to drive the car and accumulate some videos.

So I debated this product/brand on my 2022 Highlander XSE about a year ago, but opted for more expensive OEM Toyota Integrated Dashcam for that built in look and GPS/speed imprint on the video. Fast forward to now, I ordered the same OEM Toyota camera for my 2023 Rav 4, and was assured by Toyota it would fit. Well it didn't, so looked around online and found there is a common problem that since my new model does not have the factory autodimming mirror, the wiring harness to supply power does not exist at all. (I would have assumed was there but unused, but this was not the case). As ALOT of others online were in this situation, I decided to return it and go with the Fitcamx. I would say picture quality is same or better as factory, and no GPS/speed function, but I still think it's worth it for half the price. This one connects directly inline with the safety camera for power, which doesn't support parking mode, but I have a hybrid where your battery isn't really the same as a regular car and not worried about it. Toyota was literally scratching their heads about getting the factory camera to fit my car...if Fitcam can do it, why can't Toyota? There was no mention on their website or anywhere that the autodimming mirror was required. The app doesn't have alot of features, but it runs fast and streams better. The factory dash cam always takes a bit to navigate the menus and constantly buffers trying to preview video. Fitcam did not have this issue. About the only feature I would like to see added [which could be possible with firmware update?] would be the "adventure mode" the OEM had where when needed I could activate the audio/video recording on demand by hitting a button vs having to record audio all the time. (Some states may be illegal to record audio with passengers without their knowledge, and I would rather not have to take a dash cam video containing my singing to court if required lol). Right now, you can only take a photo or turn it off via button. The only real negative I can think of with the wifi is that wireless carplay constantly reconnects itself to its wifi, stealing the connection from the camera/app, if you don't temporarily disconnect your phone from radio. I think this is carplay's fault and not the Fitcam, but it's annoying, and may not happen to you anyway. Fitcamx for the win!

I needed a dashcam with the Rav4 that I just purchased, but I hated how ugly dashcam are. I didn't want wires running all over the place. Toyota has a dashcam option, but it is only a front facing camera and it still looks a bit tacked on.The FitcamX camera is exactly what I was looking for. Both cameras are high quality and everything just works. What I was a little worried about was that the installation instructions have you removing parts to shove wires. The good news is that everything was very easy to do, and then put back into place and it looks great. The only issue that I ran into was taking the mirror cover off. I would suggest pulling down on the cover and then putting your fingers inside to take off the secondary piece, instead of just trying to take of the secondary piece before pulling the cover itself off, as the video suggests.Overall VERY happy with this purchase. It's definitely a bit more expensive than some generic camera, but it looks so much better.

Setup was relatively simple and the camera once installed looks like oem product. Took videos fine until when we really needed to get a clip. Was driving and there was an incident where I had to turn in the emergency lights to warn drivers behind me. I also used voice command to call emergency services. I came home to try to get the clip of the incident and the video became distorted and remained that way for the rest of my drive.Update:Contacted vendor for support and did not receive any response. There’s no option to contact vendor through Amazon so we emailed them separately. Will be returning the product. Really wanted to keep it because of how nice it looked but this is an essential product that needs to work well for emergencies.

This camera looks as though it was part of the factory installation. No messy wires and so far seems to work well.

Tras devolver el producto sí me vino con todo perfecto. Como siempre, un 10 para el servicio de atención al cliente de Amazon.Aconsejo su instalación por su facilidad, que no se ven cables, no molesta la cámara a su visión y por la buena calidad tanto de día como de noche.Modelo que tengo puesto: 4k sólo cámara delantera (para el modelo con la cámara trasera sí hay que trastear más en el coche y yo no confío en mis habilidades para hacerlo correctamente)Espero que os haya sido útil mi reseña.
