Excellent quality
Excellent sound quality and easy installation. This is a ball string, so make sure your violin is compatible with it. After installing, the string responded fantastic with each bow stroke.

Loud and proud; sings beautifully
I had recently decided to switch back to Dominant strings, but like many other reviewers here, I can't stand the sound of the Dominant E. Seeing how popular this E string is as a substitute, I decided to give it a try. I accidentally ordered loop-end instead of ball-end at first, but after the return was made (thanks for making it super easy Amazon!), I switched on my new strings. And WOW — I was blown away with the quality of this string. It's loud but not harsh, it's brilliant but not screechy — it really sings beautifully with my other strings, and stays in tune/broke in quickly. Would definitely recommend.

I broke my earlier string. Am glad I did, as this one sounds so much better.
Very happy with this string. Cuts out the shrill shreech of the previous string.

Gorgeous sound
I upgraded to this string on the advice of my teacher and what an improvement in the tone and sound quality! Amazing.

Good product but bad package protection
Product itself is good, but not the package. A paper envelop with bubble wrap. Still it was damaged a bit. Not ideal but i needed the string very bad. So i gave it 4 stars.

Been using these for a long time
A typical set up is a Pirastro gold E string and Dominant 135B mediums for A, D, and G strings. I like this set up, and have been using it for years. But, that said, you have to be happy with how your instrument sounds wrt how you play.

Worth having a nice E string
I haven't tried other good E strings so can't compare, but I'm so glad I upgraded from a basic E to this, definitely can get a better tone, and there's nothing more discouraging than sqeeky high notes on violin. Of course you still need to work on bow hold and technique for sound - a string on its own doesn't fix everything, but this makes it easier to get a nice sound!I'm a middling fiddle player, so don't buy super expensive strings but generally do buy mid price stings so that's what I'm comparing to.
