In my Tassimo machine they make just a regular, not even a large size, cup.** A: The European XL size makes a regular American 8oz coffee cup. Enjoy. **Q: how many ounces per cup?** A: Be sure to check the box for the number of ounces. The code on the pod will control the volume. They come in 8oz to 16oz and 4oz espresso sizes. **Q: "rich and dark" means strong?** A: my wife and I have tried several Tassimo L,OR coffees. I thi nk that it does mean strong. My wife finally changed to another L'Or cafe which is very mild. Cafe long D'oux is her preference now but is not very strong and makes small cups of coffee. Hope that this helps you a bit.
