Packaging was acceptable and the item is fine and gets the job done. I got it for retro game restoration, for reference. It opened some game cartridges with no issues... but when it arrived I had to clean it with alcohol because it had a sticky residue on it. Maybe it was just lubricate from manufacturing or something, as I've never bought a new tool before but I thought I'd note it.

I like to work on nintendo stuff for a hobby and before I bought this if I wanted to open game boy games, I had to melt down plastic pencils and pens which barely worked and damaged the games. I stopped being cheap and bought one of these and it works so much better and doesn't destroy the games! To those who collect/fix older nintendo stuff, particularly game boy cartridges, go ahead and buy one of these it's totally worth it in the long run.

Works just as expected. I don't even use a screwdriver with it because I can just hand turn it. It doesn't chew up the screws on cartridges, but it grips the screws enough that you can open even the most grimey of carts. I had a game that was covered in sticky dried cola and I was able to easily open it and clean it.
