Japanese Camellia Seed Oil (Tsubaki) – 100% Pure, Cold-Pressed & Unrefined – Moisturizer for Face, Hair, Body & Nails – Naturally Rich in Antioxidants – 2 fl oz (60 ml)

I decided to try out tsubaki oil (specifically was looking for camellia japonica oil, versus camellia oleifera oil) as my jojoba oil wasn't keeping up with the drier air (and skin) as fall moved into winter, even when I used more of it. The camellia oil absorbs relatively quickly, and I love how it keeps my skin feeling and looking soft and supple better than the jojoba oil under dry conditions. It seems to me that my skin has a healthier glow now. I have been using oils for about a year as my all around facial moisturizer and don't have issues with breakouts, although once in a while I do have a pimple show up on my mature skin. I'm glad I tried this oil. I love the camellia japonica oil, prefer it over my jojoba and marula oils, and plan to see how it works out as a year round moisturizer. Like my jojoba oil, 1-2 drops (often mixed in with a drop of grapefruit or other pleasantly scented essential oil) also works well as a leave in hair conditioner on the ends of my hair.

It is seemingly clear , which concerned me because it says it's unrefined, but after having used it quite a bit now, it does make a difference in the way my skin looks. No bad reactions. I also have used a very tiny bit in my hair ( even on the top of my head ) & it definitely adds shine without greasiness as long as it's a very tiny amount. A good conditioner for hair at night. So what I did for my hair now is I added it to a homemade hair serum with aloe Vera gel, glycerin , a tiny bit of castor oil ; distilled water, a few drops of rosemary & lavender oil,& put it into a spray bottle & its the perfect hair serum or leavein conditioner( I have dry hair) , I now add it to my homemade face serums for my skin as it would be too much oil on its own for my skin , really adds quality to my serums - they are better now having combined it into them. So I'm very happy with it.

This oil worked so well on my body and hair, but caused some break outs on my face. I had hoped to use this as a night oil to help retain moisture, but I don't think it's the right oil for me. It worked so well on my body and hair I think I'd keep buying it anyways though! I mixed some of this into coconut oil as a hair mask and my hair felt incredible afterwards :) I'm going to keep experimenting with using it as a facial oil, but I think I might be too acne prone for this specific oil.

I have been making my own hair oils using essential ingredients for a short while now. I am now using a Rice Water recipe once every 2 weeks or once a month and this Camillia Oil goes in to act as a moisturizing humectant. I was a bit dubious at first because I have several top flight organic shops in my town, yet none carried it. I purchased this on on Amazon after seeing a video on YouTube and the instructor in that video extolled the virtues of Oleo Camillia Oil. After I make my rice water I add 10-15 drops during the cool down and then use the concoction on my wash days. The Camillia Oil has left my hair silky. My curls pop and retain a lush feeling even if I decide to braid or twist out my hair after it is dry. On some days I spritz the ends and add a few drops to my hand, rub them together to warm the oil up and my end stay soft and smooth. I am very happy with the product and the company. Will happily purchase again.

I like the fact that a couple of drops on a damp face spread nicely around and soaks in very well. I have naturally oily skin and so it is easy to over do it for me. I put the drops in my palms and rub them together and then pat the oil on my face. I am mindful of not rubbing and stretching delicate facial skin. Depending on the season, I will add a few drops of aloe/neem oil on top as a base for my makeup only after the other has completely soaked in. I have noticed that after using this kind of oil for several months that it darkens my eyebrows. The grey hairs have mostly gone back to dark brown! Using it on my hair however makes it too oily, I like Argan hair restoring mask to hydrate my hair instead.

When I read about Camillia Japonica oil I was excited for an opportunity to try it. I've been using it daily for a couple of weeks and have not really seen any WOW effects. I take care of my skin faithfully but as I age was hoping to add a really good moisturizer that took my regimen to a new level but see little change but some breakout on my chin & neck. Will keep using it. Pray all the hype is true and I start yo see some positive changes 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Excellent product. The oil is odorless and feels very light on the skin. I use it on my face, lips, neck, hands...everywhere that needs moisture. It doesn’t cause any breakouts and actually helps sooth inflammation on my face since I tend to pick on my skin a lot. This is the correct Japanese Camellia/Tsubaki oil I have been looking for. There are many Camellia oil on the market. Make sure you do your research and buy the correct one. Love it so much that it is cold pressed and unrefined.

Absorbs well, non greasy feel. My skin is happy and moisturized. I use a vitamin C, hyaluronic acid formula first and then moisturize with this in an oil formula which I mix for myself. I add a few drops of pure rose oil for a light scent. I have tried many products but so many aren’t really satisfying, this product as part of my oil formula really moisturizes. Will purchase again.

Good quality. As described. No breakouts when applied to skin. Good for hair as well
