Those speakers (Merlin TSM Black Magic) cost about 10X what the cheap-but-lovable self-powered A5's go for, and when I knocked one over (it was actually TIED to its stand) AND bought a JL Audio Fathom sub I decided to bag the stands so that (1) I wouldn't knock one over again, and (2) I could slide the subwoofer in under one of the speakers.RESULTNo surprise that the mounts work well with my precious Merlin speakers. I don't notice any sound degradation from moving them from the stands to the wall mounts. Being able to easily angle and tilt is handy. They aren't works of art but they have good fit and finish and tend to disappear behind the speakers for the most part. The sub sounds more like it's part of the speaker due to its placement thereunder, and I have more floor space. And, I don't have to worry about those spikes causing further damage to my laminate floor.
