Absolutely love this Contigo West Loop 3.0 Stainless Steel Insulated Travel Mug. The matte black finish looks sleek and premium, and the mug does an amazing job keeping my coffee hot for hours. I’ve also used it for cold drinks and it keeps them cold just as well. The AutoSeal lid is probably my favorite feature because it truly is leak proof. I can toss it in my bag or keep it in the car without worrying about spills. It’s also very comfortable to hold and easy to clean. Overall, this is one of the best travel mugs I’ve owned and definitely worth the money.

Contigo autoseal has been awesome forever but the continue to evolve and create an even better travel mug than what I thought my old one was the best ever! You will love that you will NEVER spill a drop. The lock that they added ensures that is remains sealed until you want it to open. Drinking from it is as natural as it gets, easy to use, clean, and dependably hot. Holds plenty, looks great, cost nearly the same as the ones I purchased years ago! Coffee stays hot all day long!!

Holds exactly 24oz. Holds temperature better than my Thermos Sipp 16 oz travel mug. Wobbles in a lot of cup holders. Leakproof, but not drip proof. A little bit of liquid collects on the door of the mouthpiece and you have to squeeze the release button and blow it back or it will drip when tilted. Beware: carbonated drinks will release a loud and spray full burst of air and mist in your face if you don’t point it away from you when completely full. Cola all over my face and eyeglasses. Everything cleans well in the top rack of the dishwasher. Paint scuffs occur after a dozen uses. Goes well in a golf bag. Locking feature works with one hand to release. East to drink and still look ahead while driving.

As the title says the fact that I have owned 3 of these travel mugs shows my faith in them and I will tell you why I think they are better than that "other" brand name travel mug in the next paragraph but I think it important you understand my backstory with these mugs. The blue mug in my images is over 7 years old and was used almost every day for those 7 years with either hot or cold beverages. About 4 years ago I wanted a smaller version of this travel mug for specific occasions (mainly hot coffee) so you see that in my images too as basis for comparison between the older versions of these travel mugs and the newer versions. Finally, as you can see in my images the bottom cap of the larger blue mug came off (something they fixed/did away with in the latest model) and I could not get it to back on. Well this cup served me well, so I decided to replace it with the exact same brand of travel mug. When I went to Amazon I saw (in addition to the older versions) they had a new improved larger version which I decided to purchase. What I am telling about this newer travel mug reviewed here also applies to the older (smaller) versions which they still sell on Amazon. I still use my silver one (as seen in my images) as needed. Of Course, it goes without saying these travel mugs keep beverages COLD or HOT for exceeding long periods of time. In fact, you find cautions on the bottom of the mug and the inside of the top of the mug warning that hot beverages can cause burns. Another caution they give you is to leave the lid off the top for a couple of minutes to let hot beverages cool down a little (LoL). I find both hot and cold beverages last that way for longer periods (especially the hot ones) then I want them too. I would like to at least sip on my hot beverage within the 30 minutes LoL. I like (want) the fact that they have no handle. Handles tend to get in the way especially in car cup holders. These mugs are easy to grip and natural to drink from. The actual physical color of the mug means nothing to me. Of course, these travel mugs are high quality and I think all that I have laid out thus far proves that fact above and beyond. Finally, I want to speak to the positive drink lock these travel mugs contain that are absent in most travel mugs. (I would not buy one that did not possess this feature). This is an outstanding feature that if nothing else gives you piece of mind, but I believe it has saved me many times when I have accidently knocked over or dropped the mug. As you can see in my images in the new mug, they have moved this feature from the top of the lid to the side (next to the push to drink button). This is probably more efficient and effective, but I have not seemed to get the hang of it yet and I wish it stuck out a little longer to catch my thumb more easily.

I bought these to replace others I'd had for eight or nine years. I've done a fair amount of research, and questioned many friends, and Contigos are certainly among the best-quality travel bottles on the market. Sadly I lost the cap for one, and broke the other. Unfortunately Contigo no longer has replacements for that size. (Yeah... they do the Apple thing, slightly changing the circumference of different models, so you can only get replacement caps for so long. Grrr). They are very good quality, and have a double lock system that allows you to throw them upside-down into a bag with no leaks. I'm a senior woman with smallish hands, and find these comfortable to hold. They will keep hot drinks warm, if not fully hot, for four to six hours They keep cold drinks cold for quite a bit longer. The taste and smell of coffee, tea and milk does stick in the plastic caps. I find the best cleaning method, by far, to be the dishwasher. The soaking methods suggested in the instructions do help some, but not fully. I keep one cap reserved and labeled for tea only, otherwise the taste of coffee that lingers in the cover spoils the taste of the tea. If you carry tea or coffee with milk, do make sure to rinse or wash the cap ASAP. I travel for 15-16 hours at a stretch, so I make an effort to store the bottle right-side-up, to keep the milk from going bad in the cap by the end of my very long day.

Great mug. Nice size that fits in cup holders. Keeps coffee hot. True to color and nice grip for on the go. Only odd thing was the smell. Very potent stench from the lid. After a thorough cleaning it was no problem though.

I had a Contigo West Loop 2.0 mug, which I really liked. The 3.0 mug is so much easier to clean than the 2.0 was! There’s no tight spaces on the lid that you can’t reach properly to get it clean. This mug also keeps my coffee hot for hours. I wash these cups by hand (even though you can put them in a dishwasher). To me, they last a lot longer that way (especially the rubber stopper inside the lid). I’ve never been disappointed in these mugs. They’ve never leaked and the lock works well. When I look for a new mug, I always look for Contigo. They make me and my coffee very happy!

I bought this because it was reported to be the best in class. It is! It is the only one I've tried that is both spill-proof and easy to sip. It's relatively easy to clean (very easy if you have a dishwasher, which I don't). Keeps the coffee hot for hours. And it's durable. Highly recommended!

I have spent many hours researching travel mugs, so I could finally have a leak free hot latte every morning when I commute to work. This was the winner. With this leak free AUTO SEAL mechanism , a Mercedes of coffee mugs. It was expensive too, minimum £25 so I decided to wait an order one on AMAZON US half the price including the delivery . I even ordered extra one for my partner. While I was waiting I bought a budget HIWILL Double Walled Vacuum Insulated Travel Coffee Mug, for ten pounds. I chose the smaller size for my son and was using it while waiting for Contigo. Yes it was too small for a large latte but leak proof and hot for hours!!! When contigo 2.0 arrived it was impressive but heavy. The auto seal works well and it's easy to clean. It's bigger than Hiwill but that's what I wanted, Unfortunately coffee loose the temperature very quickly. Having been using the hiwill I could feel huge difference. No more hot coffee on my desk when I arrive to work. So disappointed....I am considering sending them back , but it will be to US ... UPDATE: After few hit and misses with latte temperature and rinsing the cup with boiling water to make it hot I have no issues with the right temperature for at least 3 hours ! A win!
