Nice read
The story is a retelling of great grand Duchess Anastasia.Anastasia or Nastya was beheld with a task to smuggle an ancient spell with her during her exile while her and whole family Romanov were hunted. This ancient spell was the only last hope for Romanov salvation. Life of Romanov during their rule and during their imprisonment was potrayed well.Time of imprisonment at Ekaterinburg was so gritty to imagine with. Kindness of Nastya and her family with the soldiers who were keeping watch on them could have helped them to an extent also it clearly states the act of love and care which we can provide to the worst of our enemies for our own inner peace of joy the Romanov family was truly appreciable for it. 💖The beaker of romance between Zash (a solider from enemy) Nastya and Ivan (another solider) and Maria (sister of Nastya) was being overflowed over the spell magic which kind of turned down the magic of the book.Though the story of Anastasia was flawed with some of the description yet it kept me held with it till end.

Amazing .Magic , doll , family love !!!
This book is an absolute mess, but an amazing breathtaking page turning murder-magic-marathon kind of mess. This book is based on history. I loved the feelings , bonding of family , longing for friendships , being kind to all ,trying to get love or love all. This book is all about empathy love and bond .This book was making me feel sad for a long time. It was like reading a sad news which never stopped. But the choices we make is all we do .Nastya is clings to her Papa's word till the very last moment. Kindness and forgiving .I adored Nastya and Zash - I love you with all my broken Romonov heart. ABSOLUTLE FREAKKNG ADORABLE.Alexie character is well written.I am giving 4 stars to the book for the last 100 pages maybe :D

Book Review
🔖Romanov - Nadine Brandes🔖This book revolves around the story of the Romanovs, the royal family of Russia that had been sent to exhile & then executed. Historians say when their bodies were found 2 were missing and hence the speculation that two of the children, Anastasia and Alexie escaped. Thats where this book comes into the picture. Hands down, i aint the type to read History books but i liked this book quite much and it was gripping. Even though i should mention i had more expectations from this book given the hype. 🔸The book is based on a true story with some fictional elements of fantasy and magic that carries the story forward into a different direction towards the end. I liked the concept the author was trying to portray but some elements of action were a big no no for me. The whole act where Anastasia was being portrayed as a worthy main lead kinda failed big time for me. I am no doctor but a person with broken ribs riding a horse?! Pulling up a grown ass man on a train?! Jumping between a horse and a MOVING train?! That part was a bit unnecessary drag for the main lead to get her moment. 🔸Overall for amateurs at history like me this book is a good start for those who don't want to spend time scrolling through History books but still have a small idea on the subject.3/5🌟

OMG so great
I loved Zash, though his and anastasia's relationship felt a little unnecessary. I loved anastasia's and Alexei's bond as well. It was so much like the normal brother sister thing and yet at the same time it wasnt. The magic thing was pretty cool too. Plus I learned a great deal about the Russian revolution more than I did at school. All in all I am happy to say that I absolutely loved this book and definitely recommend it to everyone.

A fantastic magical tale!!
"Romanov by Nadine Brandes".Anastasia "Nastya" Romanov is dead!At least that's what the historians believe. Her death has been the centre of conspiracy theories and speculations till centuries.Nadine Brandes, in her story Romanov spins a story full of magic, heroism, friendship, and love.We as readers get to know the lives of the last czar of Russia. The portrayal of the Romanov family is one of the factors that worked in the book's favour. The author went a bit ahead and laced the story with ancient magic. I loved how Brandes spun her story keeping the facts in mind. The treachery experienced by the Romanov's will still make your heart cry for them. The bond of love that Nastya shared with her Papa and brother is portrayed beautifully.I must admit that I am not a big fan of Zash's character and to be honest couldn't sympathize with him completely. The book certainly has the potential to be remembered for all the right reasons...I would rate it a 4⭐.

thrilling, edgy and very fascinating
Anastasia Romanova is supposed to be dead. Her entire family was shot without a trial by the Bolsheviks, and that is an important historical event in Russia. But behind these multiple murders lies a world of treachery, misunderstanding and countless manipulations.Anastasia or Nastya is a brave and mischievous girl. When her family is put to exile, she shows immense strength, love, and dedication towards her family and later succumbs to death by shooting. But what is Nastya lived long enough to avenge her family? and what if certain forbidden magic was her companion?“No amount of age, pride, or maturity could stop me from loving my papa with the heart of a little girl.”‘Romanov’ is a brilliant and refreshing take on this popular historic event. The author combines some vulnerable characters, unsettling scenarios and just the right amount of magic and companionship. I fell in love with this family who was considered traitors, because they are so kind, compassionate and dedicated to serving Russia.Anastasia’s bond with her family and her siblings and her love for Zash have been explored with perfection, thereby giving us characters that will stay with us long after the book is over.I might have been slightly disappointed by the ending, but that doesn’t change the fact that the writing was quite exceptional. It is necessarily a character-driven plot and a great one at that.

Like no Anastatia Story you've ever read!
Okay, that was epic! Like wow! I'm gonna try and write a coherent review but wow! That was so much fun and heartwrenching and just...I love Nadine Brandes' books! Or at least Romanov and Fawkes!Characters:This was told in first person POV and was through Nastya's POV. It was really good! I really enjoyed getting to know her and her tricks and her motives for everything she did. I loved her! She is officially one of my all-time favorite female characters!I loved Zash! There were moments when I didn't trust him, but he won my heart in the end!!!!I LOVED Alexei he is just, love this guy! He may only be 13 but his wisdom and strength are beyond his age!The Romanov family in general was so well written, I loved the bond that they all shared, and the way they treated the soldiers guarding them was beautiful. Their little saying about their family names (which I will butcher if I try to put it here) was so sweet!!!!Plot:This was a different retelling of the Romanov story and I really enjoyed it, and the fantasy twist added to it. That being said the fantasy element involved spells, but the kind the word brings to mind, it was more they had spell ink and wrote the words down, then could use the words to heal and other such things. I found that element intriguing. It was a very unique approach and I didn't see anything wrong with it myself. The otherside of the plot is forgiveness, a huge dose of that is stirred in and it is beautiful how Mrs. Brandes incorporates it all and ties it together in the end!!!Language:N/ARomance:There are two kisses, but nothing much. There are feeling described and recognized as dangerous due to the Romanov situation and it was very well done! I enjoyed that aspect of the book.Overall:I really enjoyed Romanov! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good YA book that blends genres, or just anyone looking for a good book! The story is beautiful! I really enjoyed it! :)
