I'm not sure whether it fits your 96 Explorer, so you'd better measure it before ordering, if it's 6", it would be ok. I think it could last for 5-6 years at least, you could apply some glue like Gorilla to the back if you are worry about the adhsive.

Is the one with no image just a blacked out Ford badge ??
