Is this product supposed to be thin and runny or more like shave cream?

Mine was runny as well, really made it difficult to apply the right amount to the area. I like the way it works, but really wish it wasn't a runny liquid. Something thick like shaving cream seems like it would have a better application.

Can this be put on before take a shower and rinse off removing hair with it?

Yes, you can most definitely put in on before you shower but from my experience it doesn’t just rinse off. It didn’t work for me and I tried using it 3 times. Just stick with Nair.
