smaller than expected
The watch is great and well built like all g shock watches, I returned it because it is so small relative to most of my other watches. I don't wear huge watches, but above average as are most gshock watches, but this one is considerably smaller. Great for smaller wrist or less rugged look

Great, durable watch.
I'm really hard on watches, always bumping into things, working outdoors, etc. The protective frame around the glass already has several scuffs from bumps and it's still ticking. I expect durability with G-Shock, though. As far as bang for buck, this one was a bit pricey (to me) at almost $200. there are other G-Shock watches that offer way more value per dollar, but they don't have all the features I liked on this one (solar, digital and analog, light, this particular look, etc). If you want better bang for buck and are indifferent about little features, there are several G-Shock watches for under $50, and even more for well under $100. Casio also makes models similar to their G-shock brand that have a 10 year battery life for around $20.

Ruggedness, Quality, and Versatility
For years, I have fancied watches with automatic/self-winding movements: not at the highest price point but beautiful nonetheless, especially those from Oris and Christopher Ward. I still enjoy wearing watches made by these great, quality brands, but sometime in May of this year, I started eying Casio G-Shocks. Eight years ago, I purchased two all-digital, solar/atomic Casios. One is a titanium, all-digital Pathfinder and the other is a black resin, all-digital watch with a case diameter somewhere between 43 and 45 inches. Both are still in active rotation. Now jump ahead to Spring 2019. A few months ago, perusing the Amazon website for attractive watches, I discovered analog/digital G-Shock, G-Steel timepieces. Here is what I learned was important to me:1. While I appreciate the solar/atomic features of my eight-year-old Casios, the solar element is more important than the atomic.2. I prefer a digital display of black numerals on a light background rather than the "blackout" look. With age, I have cultivated a heightened appreciation for legibility!3. I need a watch with illumination that with a turn of the wrist quickly lights the whole watch face-both the digital and analog components.4. I want a watch that is analog plus digital.5. I favor a watch that is neither too small nor too big.6. I like a watch that can be worn confidently and comfortably with business casual attire as well as weekend wear.7. I favor a look that is more understated than overstated, but one that still captures attention and curiosity (i.e., my own as well as others). Here's the good news: I found the perfect watch in this Men's Casio G-Shock, G-Steel Black and Blue Solar Resin Watch (Model GSTS300G-1A2). Success! Then, a few days later, I returned to Amazon to make another purchase (not a watch). That's when I stumbled upon the Men's G-Shock, G-Steel watch with a brushed steel bezel (Model GSTS1101ACR). The diameter of its face was slightly larger at 52.4 mm, but that was still within my sweet spot range.Much to my surprise, I placed the order for the second G-Shock, G-Steel watch. I sealed the deal by heading to the checkout without hitting the "save for later" option. While the features on the watch face are the same as those on the G-Shock, G-Steel black and blue resin watch, there are significant differences. The size, bezel, and coloration define what they are: timepieces that distinguish themselves while still sharing common characteristics. I love them both for all seven reasons I described earlier. These G-Shock, G-Steel watches cannot be pigeon-holed. They are unique in form and function and possess a well-deserved reputation for ruggedness and quality. Both watches do get noticed, by others on occasion and by me all the time! I am happy with these purchases. If you decide to purchase a G-Shock, G-Steel timepiece, I hope you are as satisfied as I am. I'm sure you will be.

Perfect size G-Shock
So far, I really like this watch. Set up was easy and it really looks good. My wrist is about 7" in diameter, and this is not too big. I would have given it 5 stars if the lume was a little brighter. The backlight is very easy to read and quite bright.

Reliable, rugged, and good looking
Rugged as expected from G-Shock. I wear in a variety of settings from the office, the ball fields, the beach, and diving. Time zone feature is nice when dealing with multiple time zones while traveling and not having to adjust manually. Keeps accurate time. Recharges easily with routine wear or storage in an area that receives light (i.e. not in a closet or drawer). Blue color has not faded from the bezel after more than a year of regular wear. Highly recommended.Just trying to decide which other watch from this line to get next!

Blue steel coating not durable
This watch is working good but blue steel coating is easily taking off. I return

Most Comfortable G Shock band I’ve Tried
I have purchased the full size G Steel 100 series stainless steel band watch then returned it because too big for my taste. Then I purchased the G Steel 300 series stainless steel band watch and returned it because too flashy for work. I have also purchased several regular G Shock resin band watches so decided to try this newer mid size blue stainless steel and black one which I’ve had my eye on for a while. Once the price dropped below $200 I purchased it. I’m very glad I did as from the moment I strapped it on my wrist it was very comfortable. I have an 8.25 inch wrist size and to me the watch wears a bit smaller because of the illusion of the black steel round bezel on top of the dark blue steel. The mineral glass face is actually only about 34 mm of viewing space so plays trucks with your mind of the size. The outside portion of the case itself from edge to edge measures approximately 49-50 mm. I’m a big fan of the blacked out dials so I would love to have this exact watch with the blacked out digital dials but there’s probably not a big audience for that. I set the watch to the atomic clock and been dead on within a second in the last month and the minute hand moves a small tick every 20 seconds. The light is a basic Violet-White color which illuminates the entire watch face easily in the dark.

Great-looking watch
This is the second G-shock I have bought for my husband. He likes the durability and functionality of it for work. This is a really nice looking watch too. It looks great with whatever he is wearing. The solar charging is also an awesome feature. These are good quality watches.
