Easy to put on my elderly 85 pounder big boy!
Stays in place well, Washable, and easy to adjust and place on my elderly large dog to help prevent and allow his elbow sores to heal from his crazy need to sleep on concrete and tile instead of his comfy bed. He seems to be comfortable wearing it, even when sleeping with it on, it doesn't hinder as it has some give without tearing so that he can wear it days at a time if necessary except that he CAN be a Houdini and sometimes when I'm not looking he takes it off. I think he and the cat have a deal they've worked out to pull that off,,, but no ones fessin up!

UPDATED: Worked but durability is a concern
UPDATED:The company reached out to me regarding the torn sleeve. They replaced the brace, free of charge, due to the poor stitiching. The customer service was outstanding, especially considering that they contacted me regarding the issue. As I stated in my first review, the protective sleeve worked well and I am glad to have another one for use in protecting my dogs elbow area.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The leg brace recovery sleeve worked well for protecting my dogs wound site following surgery. There is padding on the sleeve, and the sleeve was long enough to cover the wound whether she was standing, sitting or lying down. The sleeve did not bother her at all. It is also easy to put on or take off.I would like to have been able to adjust the sleeve just a bit more to make it tighter. There is limited adjustment on the straps. This was not a deal breaker however. The problem we ran into was a tear that occured within a week of using the brace. The tear was on the leg opposite her surgery site so it didn't impact her recovery. The tear occured at the bottom of the stitching. I don't know how the tear occured but it was disappointing that it was not a bit more durable-especially considering that it is a sleeve used on pet. The cloth is really thin which aids in the comfort, but lessens the durability. The sleeve had to be thrown away (I don't sew) and we are back to using t-shirts to cover up the surgery area during the healing process.

Dog Chewed Through It
It didn't even take a week before my dog chewed through it. Cheap Fabric. It fit fine for maybe a day before it kept sliding and the elbow pads were weirdly placed. I wouldn't recommend.

Really works, comfortable for the dog
My 12 yr old 83 lb lab has severe mobility issues due to arthritis and consequently, has developed some pretty nasty elbow callouses from sitting/laying most of the day. These pads are absolutely wonderful! They provide just the right amount of cushioning without being too bulky, they are easy to get on and off, easy to laundry. Not to mention that they are very cute!Would definitely recommend

It was perfect - for two days
UPDATE:This is an update to the review I wrote below. I still think that, if your dog is not a Malamute, it’s worth a shot to try. Malamutes do not tolerate being restricted - in any way, shape, or form. I had one tear out of her crate at the groomer’s once - the groomer stepped out of the room to go to the bathroom and came back to find the front of the crate destroyed - that’s how fast those stinkers can work. When the protector came, I put it on, it fit perfectly, and she seemed fine. That was two days ago. Went outside a couple hours ago and she had somehow worked one leg out of its sock. Let it dry (it was soaked from whatever she had done to remove it) and tried again. I just checked on her and she had torn the entire sock away from the strap. Sigh…We can’t use e-collars or those rubber doughnuts around the neck - she’s destroyed one of each. In fact, her brother helped her with the e-collar. The rubber doughnut doesn’t work because there is simply so much difference between the circumference at her shoulders versus the circumference behind her ears, that we can’t get anything that won’t slip off (same reason she wears a harness instead of a collar). Suspect I’m just going to have to rely on Bitter Apple around the hygroma (not on it, though) and be prepared to put it on multiple times during the day while assigning all of us to shifts to keep an eye on her. I love Malamutes, but they are amazingly clever problem-solvers who absolutely do not tolerate confining restrictions. I’m actually considering a gauze pad at the elbow with duct tape, although I’ll certainly check with the vet first.Regardless, this protector is now also toast, and I’m not going to invest more money in something that won’t survive her determined onslaughts. Sigh…*******************************************************************************************************************This is the second kind of elbow protector I’ve tried. The first was nice because it was thick and fleecy but even XL wouldn’t fit high enough on my 110-lb Malamute’s leg to cover her elbow hygroma. She has thick, dense bones plus a thick coat. Add that to the round circle, and it just didn’t work. So, I looked some more and found this design with an outside that came higher than the inside. It works! It’s the biggest one and fits perfectly. The fabric is a breathable knit but also includes a sewn-in pad at the elbow that doesn’t shift or catch. There is an adjustable strap with a clip to go over the back. I like this strap because it’s not stretchy elastic, so it holds consistently and keeps the protector sleeves up where they need to be. I’ve even let my dog out in the back yard with it on, and it came back intact, unlike the other style I previously ordered. This really is the perfect elbow protector, especially for anyone with a big dog like mine.

Saved my dog from the dreaded cone
My dog is recovering from an elbow infection and these have been perfect for covering his bandage and keeping him out of a cone. You have to know your dog- once these are one, he does he does not bother them. But it is just t-shirt material, so an aggressive chewer could chew right through them. They are not perfect, the strap moves up and down on his back, so have to adjust, I do think straps with stretch would be better. But, I have been using these for 2 months now, can just throw them in the washer and dryer, and not having to worry about him bothering his bandage has been a life saver.

Works as advertised but...
Bought the XL for our German Shepherd (98 lbs). Fits great and works well. Only issue as noted from previous posts, it tears easily below the stitching of where the clasp is sewn. We had to sew on some additional fabric to reinforce it. Aside from that, good product.
