The microprocessor-controlled centrifuge automatically senses the rotor type, has nine acceleration and 10 braking curves, and can run one of six programs or allow direct function access. It has a timer to 99 hours and 59 minutes and can be run using either speed or relative centrifugal force (RCF) values for flexibility. The unit shuts off if the rotor becomes imbalanced and the lid locks automatically while running. The push-button auto-lock facilitates fast rotor exchange.
