Karl Lagerfeld Paris Women's Ruffle Maxi Dress

This Karl Lagerfeld Paris Women's Ruffle Maxi Dress is good quality overall and this dress had no imperfections. It seems true to size and fit well. I’m 5’11” and weighed 175 when I tried the dress. I generally liked how it looked on, and the size 12 was a spot on fit. I had also tried the size 14 as I had never tried this brand and it zips instead of being a pullover, so I had no idea how it would fit. The 14 was definitely too big. The length is nice, and the short sleeves are good as they cover the top of my arms that are getting crepey at my age (55+).The dress conforms to the body but doesn’t look tight or feel binding. The fabric has give and feels comfortable. The dress showed my actual shape and was especially slimming from the side. I don’t feel the cut minimized my thick waist (maybe a little with the ruffle), but it also didn’t emphasize my stomach. The fabric is a nice medium weight that draped well and didn’t cling to imperfections. It seems like it wouldn’t wrinkle even worn many hours in heat, and it’s hand washable. I think it’s a good easy to wear warm weather travel dress.I bought this dress with a view to wearing it to a summer wedding and returned it only because I didn’t feel the ruffles suited me, though I don’t find them unattractive. I did feel the top ruffle stood out a bit more than expected. It wasn’t bad, but I’m just used to simple lines. And I liked this dress a lot more than a pricier designer dress I bought that also had ruffles. I guess ruffles just aren’t my style, but I do think this dress would be pretty on the right person. I also think one doesn’t need to have a perfect shape to look good in this dress. I’m posting a photo (sorry it’s not better) to show the overall look and fit on someone older who has problem areas.
