Lots of problems, but still great value
These are indeed real silicone probes. They also have a very low resistance, so they must have a fair amount of decent copper wire in them. At 10A test for one minute, the wires barely got above room temp, so I'll trust their ratings. We'll that about does it for the good part. On to the cons. The handles are pretty stiff and not very comfortable. The strain relief's at Jack and handle are kind of a joke. In other words, don't yank or really bend them at these points. The tips are pretty soft metal and the gold plating is far from the best. I had to give a pretty good cleaning to mine, right out of the bag as they had some grime and oxidation (and gold doesn't oxidize, that's the reason it's used).I know the probe tips are soft metal because I very carefully tried the included alligator clips and they caused the points to visibly deform and dull. The alligator clips are a complete joke and should not be used, just thrown away. The way they attach to the probes is beyond rudimentary. You'll understand if you get them. The final con is obvious from the item description. They are fairly short in total length. If you do field, bench, or hobby work, then this shouldn't be a problem. But engine or HVAC users may constantly find it an issue because you will have to keep the meter pretty close to test points. All in all, the included alligator clips are junk, the tips are soft and poorly plated, and the total length is a bit short with craptastic strain relief. However they are still well worth getting because they have decent wiring and very flexible, tangle resistant silicone insulation. Just keep the tips clean, and treat them well and they should last a long time.

Better Quality Than My Multimeter!
These multimeter leads are excellent quality for the price. I bought them to replace the El Cheapo leads that came with a Harbor Freight multimeter which self-destructed in the middle of a job. I could have simply re-soldered the probe lead wires back onto the probe tips, but why? They would only trash themselves again so I decided to buy a quality set of leads that will undoubtedly outlast the matching El Cheapo multimeter. The price of the leads for their quality was excellent and they even came with alligator attachments for the probe tips so you don't have to grow a 3rd hand trying to hold the probe tips on the application while you adjust the meter functions. I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who is tired of trying to hold those tiny pencil-like leads; these are quality leads that have a nice rubber non-slip coating and feel comfortable while using them. Of course, if you have little-girl-hands then stick with the stock Harbor Freight leads...

Nice for the price, but will not fit older Becker DVM's
For the price they are good quality. The diameter of the plug shield is too large for a Becker DVM. I did not want to return the item so I was able to reduce the diameter with a belt sander. If not for that problem, I would rate 5 stars.

Easily modify for use on Beckman Industrial multimeters. Great Deal. Super price!
Easily trim the safety collars on the banana plugs to fit your old style meter plug sockets and you have a new pair of high quality silicone test probes with needle sharp ends for a discount price. Buy these! You wont be sorry! I think I am gonna buy a backup pair before they are gone! Great Product!!!
