Additionally, solid strand wires should never be twisted before crimping; braided strand wires should only be lightly twisted (in the same direction as their inherent twist) to allow for an easier insertion before crimping. **Q: Can these fittings be used with solid copper wire as well as the stranded?** A: No **Q: Can this be used with low voltage wire for a robot lawn mower boundary wire?** A: I’m not sure how to answer that exactly.
