I needed to teach my dog how to be a guard dog by training him to bite. It is very sturdy, well made, and perfect for training and tugging. Very durable and whenever I bring it out to either train or play tug, he goes for it and won't let go. So going to get more.

I purchased this to teach my puppy tug. It is well made and sturdy. This is a training tool for tug and to hone your dog’s chase and retrieval skills as well as to develop impulse control. This is not a chew toy, and it should not be used as such.

Purchased 2 at the same time.Seems very durable, as long as you do not let the dog chew on it on its own aside from training purpose, that's not what a tug toy is meant for.I got two at the same time, so they both is the same age and have the same smell, to mainly train my dog to OUT.I got the 12" x 2" red for an 8+ months old female German Shepherd mix 55lb doggy(I would've preferred a bright yellow to try), which has two partial rubberized handles, the rubberized is a nice touch. I soon realized that I needed to cut off one handle from each, because the dog sometimes tends to bite on one of the free handles.To teach the dog to OUT, throw one and command the dog to get it, while hiding the other behind your back, play tug with him for a bit and then let go, tell him OUT, once he lets go, then throw the other and do the same over and over.Either as a training tool or just to play tug with the dog, dog loves it. So far, after many sessions, no problems with wear and tear at all.

I bought the small and it’s huge. My Frenchie won’t be able to play with this. It is very well made just way too big.

Working dog quality. For people looking for a chew toy, this isn't it. This is a training tool/reward. If you let your dog sit there and chew, it won't last long. I noticed some of the reviews giving this tug low ratings because of that.The handles are solid and the rubber inside the loops keep your hands alive. The construction is sturdy and feels quality.Definitely among the best tugs I've used and will be using them for a long while.

I ordered this tug for obedience work with my K9 Dutch Shepherd. Today was the second time using it for short 15 min sessions. He has never bit the handles of this tug but yet today one of the handles completely blew apart and frayed really bad. It's called a tug toy for a reason. It should hold up playing tug with your K9. The actual tug area has held up well bit the handles are weak

Seems fine and durable they just sent me the wrong one

Our young shelter dog has a habit of wanting to grab at the end of the rope your hand is on. Our trainer recommended this tug toy for a couple reasons- 1) you can hold it by both ends which makes it easier to manipulate and 2) the handled at the end are less enticing for the dog to grab than the middle. We've still had to teach our dog not to grab the ends, but he seems to really enjoy this toy. It has held up to his pitbull strength, not ripping or falling apart. We opted for the longest one to give us more room.

When used properly this toy is amazing. My trainers introduced this to me and my dog and I use it as part of our obedience training to keep it fun but to still work on control. I have a 114lb Italian mastiff and the double handles hold up to his pulling and tearing the body hasn’t been punctured or ripped and all the fluff is still inside but I also do not let my dog have this toy as a regular toy it is a treat for well done obedience training, played with under supervision and interaction with me

Awesome toy, built well as this guy wrecks toys/tugs/dummies real fast but this has held up very well to the punishment, a quality product for sure. My crazy dog thanks you Viper!

My German Shepherd really likes this tug toy. It’s very durable and she has not tried to destroy it, however, I only use it for her training. When finished with training or play it gets put away otherwise she probably would just lay and chew on it. When I get it out she can’t wait to play with it
