(I have mild neuropathy in my fingers sometimes, I could not find it. It may have gone to the place single socks go when washing them) I went to the local hardware store to find a suitable replacement, but couldn't. So I decided to spend a few bucks, resolve the problem relieve the hassle. This rod fit the bill. Anyhow, it was easy to install. This is what I did, and it took me a few minutes to figure this out, but wow...I even surprised myself. I heartily suggest drilling pilot holes for the top screws of each base. Install only the top on each side, then put in your curtain bar and tighten them up. Check it with a level. Once even, install the bottom screws. Now the curtain rod bases are mounted. Unscrew and remove one rod but loosen and leave the other one mounted. (For this next step, I had my wonderful Wife to help me.) Slide the curtain as far as you can onto the the first rod. Be sure to hold it up from the weight of the curtain, then insert the other curtain and slide it in as far as you can. Insert the remaining rod into both curtains until you can fit it on. When both sides are on, tighten your rods, spread out your curtains. Now you have your curtains up! Success. Go take a break!
