When our lodger moved out, we contemplated the ruin of our shower-cubicle which he had consistently refrained from cleaning after him. A year's worth of limescale on the glass taunted our efforts to reintroduce the concept of clarity. We tried a variety of squirty solutions until the obvious one occurred to me. Citric acid should have been our first choice, and it did not have to be Cillit Bang, but that's the way things turned out.So, I have no way of comparing Cillit's Citric with the alternatives, but this one certainly does the trick. Not overnight, and it did require several applications, but our shower cubicle is now pristine. And, I'd like to think we got plenty of Bang for our bucks...

Good value for money and it has a re sealable cap

I like that they come in airtight tub so the Chrystal's don't gather in one big lump.But the amount is not great. Recommend if you don't use a lot.

Its citric acid. Does the job great, but for the amount you get, there are far cheaper alternatives, especially cleaning grade.

I've been using citric acid for years to descale our kettles with good results. Much more pleasant and safer to use than the proprietry chemical descalers which I was never happy using - more cost effective too. Also good is the sturdy plastic tub it comes in; keeps the contents safe and dry.
