Very fun to use for wanting to shoot safely, do expect them not to fly perfectly. All the arrows came in good condition and quality. Do be carful log overuse on hard objects because the metal interior can eventually break through. Although blunt can still be harmful

These works as advertised. I am shooting 10 shots every other day on each of these at a hanging target bag in the back yard Much less worried about the rogue shots hurting someone or something. The assembly can be a bit off of center. Some are perfectly centered some are leaning one way or another. They will not take the force of a bow over 35 pounds though. They will begin to either break apart at the cone or ,like most of mine, begin to poke through the soft foam layer. No issues at 25 pounds, but began to see the damage start at 35 pounds

I am a LARPer and have been for years. If you are too then you should be familiar with how unreasonably expensive LARP safe arrows are. These are not only a good price but well made and SAFE! I took the liberty of slicing one down the middle. The tip is soft open cell foam. The bottom is firm closed cell foam. It can be screwed into any standard arrow or bolt shaft. In the core of the arrow head it has a metal flat peice so that if somehow the foam fails there isn't a risk of puncture to people or objects. My only suggestion to my fellow LARPers is to possibly cover the open cell foam with fabric. As to keep it from absorbing dirt and water and becoming compacted. If you are using these for live action role play (LARP) then I highly encourage you to check the rules of your game prior to purchasing. Many games have their own rules, so what is considered "safe" in one game may not be regarded as such in another. These arrowheads are smaller than the orbital socket, which most of the games I attend have deemed too small to be safe. Safety concerns surround the size of the arrowhead itself, not the quality of the foam padding, which seems more than adequate. The problem is that even with the right amount of padding, a projectile that is able to fit in an eye socket is a safety risk that most games will not take. With that in mind, if you're just looking to have some fun with some friends and you're not part of an insured LARP game, go for it! Just wear eye protection and avoid head or face shots. These arrowheads easily screw onto most standard shafts and are not unpleasant to be hit with. The dense foam at the base prevents any sharp edges puncturing through while the soft foam near the tip cushions impact. If these were made in a larger size, I would absolutely give them a try, but I cannot recommend buying them in their current state. My review is based off of personal experience in 5 full contact LARP games, none of which would allow these arrows due to their insurance policies. They don't want to be liable for the potential injuries.
