I am a LARPer and have been for years. If you are too then you should be familiar with how unreasonably expensive LARP safe arrows are. These are not only a good price but well made and SAFE! I took the liberty of slicing one down the middle. The tip is soft open cell foam. The bottom is firm closed cell foam. It can be screwed into any standard arrow or bolt shaft. In the core of the arrow head it has a metal flat peice so that if somehow the foam fails there isn't a risk of puncture to people or objects. My only suggestion to my fellow LARPers is to possibly cover the open cell foam with fabric. As to keep it from absorbing dirt and water and becoming compacted. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this product is absolutely not what I had expected. I had checked several reviews on different products, and settled on this one because the reviews stated that it had a larger disc on the end of the threaded section. But evidently, they changed suppliers or design, because mine arrived with roughly a 3/8". A fact I was able to confirm because they arrived falling apart at the glue seams. I was hoping to replace my junky ones that I don't feel are safe at all with this superior product, but they appear to be the exact same thing. Which after a couple sessions, the foam was completely falling off the metal stem. If these perform well, I will update my review, but based on what I can see, these are junk.

I bought these foam tips to try em out. My kids and I have given them a good work out a couple of times. They seem to work fairly well. We did have 1 tip tear the foam. That was probably from skipping across the gravel. Some electrical tape was a quick fix for that. And also had 1 tip split in 2 pieces. It came apart where the soft foam is glued to the harder material. I used some 2 piece epoxy to fix that tip. Each tip has probably been shot at least 75-80 times, and that’s the only problems we’ve had. But I am also using very low poundage bows. Less than 20# draw weight. I think a person will have more problems if used with a stronger bow. But all n all I’m happy with them.

Tried with a 20lb and 30lb recurve, as well as a 40lb compound to see how theyd fair and shot only two of them around 50ish or so times. One finally failed and metal poped through the foam but its easily repaired. Def would but again just watch the heads for cracks in the foam. Impact also dosent really hurt heads are nice and soft.
