Good product. There is a learning curve
Ive had mehndi plenty of times done by freehand but its kinda hard to come by in my area. My daughter was interested in being able to learn a little on her own and practice. I had no idea there were stencil type things. Are these as good as free hand? Heck no. But they are decent. After talking to two india women at work who said as kids and teens, using these stencils is very common. Of course for ceremony purposes free hand artists are used. There is a learning curve and cutting them down to more manageable pieces is a must. Two things to do before starting. First, if you've never had henna do a test 24-48 hours before. Usually henna is pretty well tolerated but you dont want to find out after that you are one of the few who dont. Also, the reaction can vary from brand to brand so it always a good idea to test with new brands. Henna only comes in the one color, some say orange others say brown, if you are using "black" henna that's not true henna (usually indigo plant but could be anything like coal or tar) so proceed with caution. "White" henna is also not really henna but usually better tolerated because it usually is body paint. Second, i would suggest washing and exfoliating the site where you want the henna a couple hours/day before and no lotion or products on the skin at the time of application. I would recommend an itty bitty brush (paint, makeup, etc), as small and soft bristled as you canfind, for applying the henna. You want to go gently with the paste so as to not smear or have it bleed under the sticker. I found the adhesive worked very well but where there are joints (wrists, knuckles) or wrinkles, it does not stick as well so try to strategically place the sticker to avoid if possible. I think there are design elements in the stickers that are not feasible to get a clean tattoo from as they are too delicate. The vast majority of the designs are not that delicate but pick and choose what you use as you build skill level. You will also need to resource good quality henna paste or mix your own. The one flaw to these stencils is you will either need to leave the sticker on for hours or risk pulling off the henna crust. The longer that crust can sit on your skin the stronger the tattoo. I felt like i could do a decent job of applying the henna to the stencil myself on myself. Especially on the left hand (im right handed) but i think i could do an ok job on my right with my left hand if i take it slow and careful. There is a short window to get the henna off without it leaving a stain so must messups are going to be discovered after its too late to fix but you'll learn for next timeI have found the india comminuty very open and friendly towards questions and more than willing to share info. I quizzed a cashier at a local india market about henna paste and she was more than helpful. She, and my co workers, also sugget rubbing lemon or lime juice on the completed henna as well as oil to keep it fresh. Ive done both options in the past and also done none (just normal lotion). The only real way to keep it fresh longer i found for me is to keep it dry as mush as possible and limit harsh soaps. Also remember, everyones body chemestry is different and some things work better or worse. So, after a babbling review, i suggest giving it a try. It does work as it says but with varying degrees of success until youve done it several times. Your legs are a good area to practice on since they are generally pretty straight and you can cover them up if you mess up.

Awesome product!
I was a little hesitant, but the results were amazing. The design came out exactly as in the stencil. The trick to get good stain is to apply generous amount of henna and leave the stencil on until it’s completely dried off!!

Design
Amazing beautiful design but the stencil is very stiff so it does lay flat against the hand’s uneven surface and especially around wrist. But where it did stick. The design looked stunning.

Henna temporary tattoos
Granddaughter in college loved this item and she is darn good at it . She is artistic & has tried it on many family members, she does them free hand. I had to order more black ink for her as she used it all up - they last a good long while also
