Very hydrating
I wanted to try this as it was recommended by a friend, I wasn’t disappointed it’s a lovely product, I loved the feeling of it warming my face, initially I thought it was expensive for a mask, but I honestly would buy again, very pleased with how my skin feels.

Fancy
This definitely feels like a fancy product. The packaging is high quality - both the box and the jar. The jar is hexagonal, building on the honey theme, and it has a wood effect lid which is actually magnetic. This is handy as it comes with a little metal spatula to scoop the product out; the little spatula might be the sort of thing you lose in a drawer but not here as it sticks to the lid in a quite enticing way! The mask is at first very much the consistency of honey if it was mixed with gum - it was sticky and a bit stringy - I really appreciated having the spatula to use in applying it to my face. Once on there, it wasn’t gross or hard to massage the mask into the white creamy state mentioned on the instructions, quite easy in fact, and the most important thing for me was that it was REALLY easy to wash my hands clean. I felt like I’d have to work at them with soap but water made it melt right off. I left the mask on for about 10-15 minutes and it didn’t make me feel much in particular while it was on (not hot/cold or drying etc) and then I washed it off with a flannel. Here’s the weird bit - while I feel my skin was brighter and more hydrated, it also felt a bit drier too?! It felt almost like the mask worked at a deep level and then I wanted moisturiser for my skin surface too. So I put some on and felt happier. This doesn’t put me off using it, but with the price tag being what it is, it will only be as a treat now and then; the pot is weighty thanks to the glass but it doesn’t hold that much really.

Honey goodness 🍯
This product has easily become one of my favourite face masks. It’s very luxurious, fun to use and my skin looks visibly more nourished after using it. What more can you want? The mask comes in a heavy, frosted 117 g glass jar. There is a metal spatula included, the lid of the jar is actually magnetic and holds the spatula in place, great if you’re prone to loosing small objects. The mask itself looks, smells and feels like honey! It’s a very thick product, it starts of as a golden honey colour, but when you massage it onto the face it turns more of a clay white and the consistency is more creamy. You need to apply it on a clean dry skin and then leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off. The current price for this mask (at the time of writing this review) is £53, now I know this is on a higher end, but you literally need a tiny bit as the mask pretty much doubles when massaged onto the skin. It’s a pretty luxurious product and it’s well worth the price in my opinion, especially if you want to treat yourself. The mask itself works really well. I try to put it on about twice a week and every time my skin is glowing! The hydration is well visible, my skin tone also looks a bit more even as well which is a massive plus. The mask is really easy to rinse off as well, I normally tend to avoid rinse off masks as it’s usually a pain to clean them off but this is not the case with the Honey Potion Plus. I’ve only briefly heard of Farmacy brand before, but I must say it’s really growing on me after trying this mask and another product from them. I would 100% recommend this product, I will be repurchasing it ones my current jr is finished, well worth it. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Lovely to Use and Genuinely Hydrating
This Farmacy Honey Lotion Plus at least has the benefit of looking and smelling different from the plethora of face creams on the market. It has a very thick, almost solid texture, a wonderful fragrance of honey and a rich yellow colour to commend it. It comes in its own box complete with a magnetic metal spatula so that the fingers need never enter the jar making it less messy and more hygienic. So far, so good but what does it actually do? The idea with this formulation of honey, apple extract with ceramides is to spread a layer of the lotion across a cleansed face and then work it into the skin until it transforms itself into a rich lather/cream which you then leave to work for a good fifteen minutes. As you wait you feel a slight tingle-a sign that the moderately astringent exfoliator is at work. When you do wash off the cream it does take a minute or two as it clings to the face, but the results are worth it both in terms of the cleansing and hydration of the skin. The skin is left feeling really smooth with dead skin cells removed but without irritation. There is also a slight firming of the skin and a shine which leaves you feeling good and looking radiant. As a man I am going to use this before shaving because it is great for preparing the skin for the razor and softening the beard-this is a much better bet than pre-shave lotions marketed for men which are full of chemicals and prone to irritate the skin. For women, this would be a great preparation to use after the shower when your make up is removed and before bed to give you real hydration as you sleep. This is not a cheap product by any means, but a little goes a long way, it is lovely to use and offers you some genuine benefits. Well worth trying.

Expensive but luxurious & fun to use
First off: this is an expensive product at £53. But it's extremely luxurious. The luxury feel starts with the packaging. It comes in a heavy frosted glass jar with a nifty magnetic lid which helps stop you from losing the wee metal spatula you use to apply the mask. The jar's a thing of beauty in itself, and after using the product you might find another use for it to store small items like ear studs or drawing pins, for example. The product itself looks, smells and feels like honey, albeit slightly thicker. It's gooey, which is why you need the spatula to spread it over your face (they advise avoiding the eye area and lips, as with most masks). After applying you then massage it into the skin with your fingertips, and just like magic, it melts and changes to a thick white creamy consistency. Then you leave it on for 15 minutes or so - it doesn't drip or run down, so you can go about your normal business while it works. I thought it might be a faff to wash off, but it comes off quite easily with water and you can towel or tissue off any that remains. After using, my skin felt soft and deeply moisturised. The price is a barrier, but it's not a product to use every day (once a week is enough) and you don't need as much as you'd think - if anything I think I applied too much the first time, as it does gain volume as you massage it in. So whether it's value for money or not depends on how much you have to spend. I'd say it's of a very high quality, and therefore worth buying if you can afford it.

A touch of Honeyed Luxury!
I love this Honey Potion face mask and the way it is presented - it hydrates and softens my skin and looks and smells fantastic! The mask is presented in a hexagonal jar which is reminiscent of a honeycomb and compliments the honey theme of this mask perfectly. The jar has a screw lid and a cream sealing lid that is easy to remove. Once opened, you can see that the mask is thick and golden in colour, looking very much like a jar of honey. It has a rich, sweet scent that reminds me of orchards - Apples, papaya and honey are all ingredients in this. The mask is easy to apply using the supplied spatula - once applied to the skin, the mask becomes more cream like and is gently warming. I like to apply this while my bath is running, and find that it really helps me to relax and prepare for some "me" time. The cream washes off my skin well, and left it feeling soft and hydrated - I had anticipated some stickiness but was pleased to find that there was no residue at all. As a lady who will be turning 50 this year, I am delighted to find a product that really does smooth and refresh my skin - I had not heard of the Farmacy range before, but would happily buy their products in future. This jar is not cheap - it does come with a £53 price tag - but it genuinely is a touch of luxury, and I feel that it is worth the cost.
