Flexible wire, good quality build. Pretty standard leads, but not gold plated. Easy enough to use for many applications aside from just multimeter. I've modified them to be used as power delivery for a bench power supply.

The probes fit my meter perfectly and are a direct replacement for the originals. These appear to be better quality than the originals as well

This multimeter has many high end features at such a low price. Voltage, current, resistance and continuity are all expected. But the extras include Capacitance, Frequency, Duty Cycle and Temperature. The one nit I have is with how the inputs are used to measure current. The normal voltage input terminal is also used to measure current BUT ONLY FOR THE mA RANGE. The A input is used for the 10A current scale. What's most confusing is that if the A input is used for the mA range you do get a reading but it's the WRONG value. Rather than give an erroneous reading I would have expected it to show no reading, and out of range or OL display or an Error reading. To simply display a wrong value is a poor UI design. The other quibble is that some of the items on the range dial are marked in yellow and some are in white. And one of the items is marked half yellow and half white. I haven't been able to find any reference to this in the manual nor been able to intuit what it might mean. Typically a different color would indicate an alternative meaning or function. So I'm very happy with my purchase because of all the great functionality, but be sure to read the manual carefully. Added info: Capacitance function worked perfect to troubleshoot a bad motor run capacitor in outdoor air conditioning unit. The capacitor looked ok, no leakage, but this meter identified that the capacitance value was only 20% of rated value.

I bought this kit to compliment my new multimeter for home DIY and automotive projects. The listing repeatedly advertises that these parts are universally compatible and what I expected was that the modular pieces would all work together nicely. To my disappointment, the alligator clips and the mini-hooks do not connect to the test lead extensions. If it were not for another Amazon buyer’s comment, I would not have known that the alligator clips are supposed to piggyback off the test probes. My main reason for purchasing the kit was to use the mini hooks extensively, but the wires are so short on them (12.5”) I’m limited to what I can use them for. I was expecting their banana clip end to plug into the lead extensions, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Also, I thought the test leads included in this product would allow me to extend the pair of test probes I already had at home. The color and feel of the plastic on the mini-hooks & the alligator clips seem to be poorer quality compared to the really nice double colored test leads/probes. It’s like the modular test leads/probes got bundled up with mini-hooks from another company, which is too bad because I really was impressed at first. I wish that this came with a storage case to keep them all together. When I was deciding on my purchase it came down to this one and another product with a case, and now I’m starting to wonder if I made the right decision.
