A MUST!!!!
I have, among a number of plants, a very large pot with wild/Mexican petunias that I have successfully weathered over in the house and/or garage for several winters. I was motivated to try to preserve it, although it would be considered an annual in the climate where I live, because you never know what plants will be offered seasonally each spring. Because this pot of wild petunias has done so well, it is rather heavy. I had carried it back and forth each season on my own, and sometimes with help, but it was a difficult and tedious task. I had seen the PotLifter a year or so ago in a gardening catalog and thought it would be helpful when moving my large potted plants from the deck to the garage in winter & back to the deck in the spring. Unfortunately, I failed to order it in time to move my plants inside last fall and still hadn't ordered it by the time it was time to move my plants back outside. I was kicking myself for this each time I had to move the plants. Recently, I needed to temporarily relocate the heavy potted plants on my deck, and THIS time, I ordered the PotLifter. It is designed to be used by two people, but it is easy to use, and makes moving large, bulky, heavy pots SO much easier! I had looked at a couple of different types of potted plant moving implements, and I ultimately chose this one because it can be used easily (with a lifting partner) whether moving plants across level terrain or navigating stairs or uneven surfaces such as a slope. There are dolly type plant moving tools too, but the disadvantage I saw with that type, for me, was the potential difficulty of navigating stairs with it. Also, due to the materials involved in manufacturing the dolly type plant movers, they cost approximately twice as much as the PotLifter and would require more space to store. The PotLifter has straps that are adjustable to accommodate a variety of pot sizes, as well as to accommodate different heights of those lifting the pots. The handles are textured with ridges and a good size to allow a firm comfortable grip without cutting into the hand. The PotLifter comes with a nylon storage bag to keep it clean and together between uses, so it shouldn't end up in a tangled mess of spider webs and debris in the dark recesses of the garage, shed, or basement between uses. I've been really pleased with my PotLifter so far, and I'm glad I finally quit procrastinating and just bought it. I expect it to last and continue to be useful for MANY years. EDITED TO ADD: The pots I moved were tapered and wider at the top than the base, textured, and/or had a "lip" at the top of the pot. I think the PotLifter would probably offer the most stability in holding the pot securely when there is a lip at the top of the pots being moved for the straps to "grab."

Easy to use and works!
So easy to use and made some of my really large potted plants easy to move onto new trolleys and around in the yard. It saved my husband‘s back. It’s a very clever design and very well priced! Highly recommend.

How amazingly easy it was for my husband and I to move a large heavy ceramic pot.
It works and is so easy to move a heavy object.

Great, but!
This is our third one to buy. The other two both broke after about a year. The plastic part snapped in half both times. But yes, we are buying a third one because we are in our 70s and can still move our large plants without asking someone to help. We are going to put the straps inside this year in the hope that the plastic just doesn't hold up if it gets too cold.

Lifts heavy pots - exactly what it says
This is a great product and it does what it says. We just moved about 20 of my pots and this product made the process significantly easier. Many of the pots I can't lift on my own - sometimes because they're too heavy, but often they just don't have a good spot to grip. We were also able to move a concrete bird bath with the PotLifter, it adapted well to the irregular shape. The quality is very good and I suspect it will last for many years.

Essential - Back Saver!
This item saved our backs. I have over fifteen 20" wide planters and my husband and I were able to move them easily thanks to this item.

Makes lifting very heavy pots manageable with two people
This actually works, my wife and I were able to pick up and move 100+ lb plants with it. Only suggestion is to let the plants dry out for a few days before moving. Water weight can significantly add to the total you are trying to move. Was worried about pots that don't have a lip for it to gtab on to, but it didn't slip off of any pot we moved with it. Did position it pretty far down on the no lip pots just in case it started to slip.

One of the top purchases of the year!
I am the one growing tropical plants in a zone they won't survive, unless they are carted in during the winter months. There is this curious tendency with plants, they get big. Moving them twice a year is a labor of love. I was skeptical, but spring was upon us and the plants need sunshine. Moving them is cumbersome, and I dreaded it. I did some comparisons and settled on this product, which seemed better suited for my purpose. Once I figured out the hook and lock joint, we were on a roll. We began by carefully checking to make sure it could hold the weight. The plants were way over on the dryer side, to lighten the load (I've done this one or twice being the Pothos and Plumeria / Frangipani are 13 years old). Once confirmed the only concern was getting the branches through the doorway. What normally took 1.5 hours was done in half the time. The handles, made of a firm plastic, can easily be held with one hand or two. The straps can be adjusted so that personal height is not an issue (my house mate is shorter than I). We didn't try to lift these plants individually, but I can see it's possible depending on the shape and weight of the lift. The only downside, the straps can get tangled and twisted. In my experience, it doesn't affect performance and can easily be straightened out. Definitely a must have for lifting large and heavy items!

Wir möchten den Topfträger nicht mehr missen. Ja, er ist nicht billig, aber erleichtert das Umstellen der Pflanzen im Herbst und Frühjahr sehr. Wie lange er hält, das wird sich zeigen.

Despite the cheesy ad, the product itself is solid. Moved an ~80 kg pot with no problem and would've been a pain in the rear end otherwise.

This really does make moving heavy pots much easier, especially if there are two of you. Very solid construction. This is the second one I have purchased as our children borrowed our last one, apparently on a long term basis.
