The buttons actually feel better as they have been broken in since I first played with them. Once I'm done, I usually take the neck off and put the guitar back in the original case it came in so if anyone wants to store theirs, that's how I've been taking care of them. The button silicone in this is very stiff. Buttons are super stiff due to that and they take either a silicone mod or lots and lots of breaking in to make it feel comfortable. The wire that connects to a Wii controller is a bit flimsy. Be mindful of how you move your guitar around. One snag and it's likely gonna get ripped off with ease. Strum bar feels great.
