Amazing sequel to Gates of Thread and Stone
This book starts off a few months after the end of Gates of Thread and Stone. We have Kai, Reev, and Avan dealing with the aftermath of what happened. Kai is dealing with finding out just who she is and what her powers mean. The end of Gates of Thread and Stone left me with a lot of questions and while some of those were answered, I feel like I have even more after finishing the Infinite!I absolutely love Lori M. Lee’s writing. There is just something about it that immediately draws me in and keeps me entertained and desperate to find out what happens. This book starts out with an amazing line just like the first book did. I love the descriptions in this book. I am always vividly aware of what is around Kai.Kai continues to impress me as a strong character. Her development and characterization in this novel is amazing and in some ways even better than in the first book. I really loved how Kai dealt with the events of both the first book and this book. This book takes us even further outside of Ninurta into a new land called Lanathrill. I loved how Lee expanded the world in this book. We realize that other people exist outside the walls of Ninurta and Etu Gahl. I also loved the new characters we are introduced to. They were a great contrast to Kai especially because they grew up in a different “world”.My only real complaint with this book is the lack of Reev and Avan for a lot of it. Yes, they are in the beginning and end but the middle part of this book is lacking. I came to really love those two and we do not get very much of them in this book. Especially Reev, the first book was all about finding him and in this book we continue to be with Kai who is not with him. Not having Avan for most of this book was sad because I love Kai and his interactions and those were lacking. However, we did get to spend more time with Mason which was nice. This was another great installment in this series and I cannot wait to see what happens next! The ending especially left us hanging now that we know who and what was behind the events of The Infinite.*I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

A third book? Yes please
Kai is back and things have gotten so much more complicated. She is trying to hold on to what little she has, find her place in this changing world, and help Avan find his memories. Oh and avoiding her father Kronos. This is an exciting sequel with many twists and turns but one very obvious antagonist. At times I wanted to scream about who was causing all this Strife but the characters seemed to not quite get it. Seriously? How didn't they see it sooner? I still love Mason, Reev and Avan. Its hard to chose which one I like more as they are all so different and Kai's relationship with her brother Reev is still sort of strange. Im looking forward to the next book.

J'adore
I adored this book. Even more than Gates of Thread and Stone. To give you an idea, I read it in two sittings during a seven day vacation to Alaska when a.) it was supposed to last me the whole trip, and b.) I was in freaking Alaska! Not even glaciers and backyard moose sightings could tear me away from this book once I started it—only a brief bout of sleep where I probably dreamt about Reev (mmm, Reev). I officially request more Reev in the next book, please.Lee continues to do an amazing job with world building, fleshing out new and incredible places outside the walls of Ninurta. I was really drawn in by the machinations of the different infinites which we get a front row seat for since Kai is on the fringe of their society now. But the best part (besides Reev, naturally) is the depth of character we see with the antagonists. In Gates, Kai's main antagonist is Ninu and while he's a kick ass bad guy, all the infinite are pretty… detached. In The Infinite, Kai is confronted with antagonists she can sympathize with on a number of different levels. Antagonists that are hard to hate are the very best kind.Mason, a secondary character in Gates, had a much larger role to play in The Infinite, and I enjoyed his banter with Kai. He was a fun companion for our stalwart heroine. I think I mentioned before, there wasn't enough Reev in this book. It's odd. Reev is such a huge part of Kai's life and such a motivating factor for everything she does that it feels like we know more about him than we actually get on the page. I love their devotion to each other. Also, this probably isn't a popular opinion, but if Kai and Reev want to have a 'you're not actually my brother/sister' moment in a future book, I'm down with that…Avan, who?I found the ending a very satisfying conclusion (It's not a cliffhanger like in Gates), though there is a lot of potential for the story to move forward in the next book… I can hardly wait! I would very much recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of YA or fantasy.

Lori M. Lee she can really write beautifully
This story was portrayed and written beautifully, I cant really say much else, the characters, Kia, Avan and mason and so on they have all different characters, the strongest in them of cause is Kia and Avan, I just loved them and wanted them to be together, I am hoping that maybe in the 3rd book that Lori will give us a better glimps into their love life and what they will do together, I loved this and the first book totally say buy it worth every small amount, not even expensive, great writer, cant say much else,

Headlong into adventure
I love the pace of these books, though it can at times be tricky keeping up!!! The character build has drawn me in, frustrated by Kai confused by the men surrounding her, but always needing to know what is on the next page, I hope this becomes a"Wheel of Time" type saga.

Loved both these books
Loved both these books. Very exciting with well described characters. The sort of book where you can imagine the people and see it as a film. I would have liked further books with these characters.
