Works super well with any guided sharpening system
I'll admit, I was exceptionally skeptical about how well this set of lapping films we're going to perform but, they work extremely well on any guided sharpening system. I wanted something faster and easier (other than my old method of using automotive wet paper adhered to ceramic stone) to achieve a nice mirrored edge on my EDC folders. Using theses films in succession along with a set of Jende 1"x6" nanocloth strops (.25 micron, .10micron, and .025 micron) on my TS-Proof guided system gave me some insane results so far. I've done 3 knives so far and I'm getting lower BESS numbers (best so far is 64 BESS with my Shiro Quantum) with those 3 knives than I'm getting with a fresh utility blade. I love these lapping films and will certainly be buying more. can't wait to see what I can do on some on my thinner bladed knives like my kitchen knives. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to achieve that next level edge on your knives. Will adhere to any ceramic stones on any guided sharpening system.

Worked great on my KME system
This and a glass blank from Gritstone,I quickly trimmed 1"strips and they adhered well to the blank,I spritzed the film and put that $100 mirror finish on my 1st blade.EZ-Z

Excellent!
I bought these almost on a lark to try polishing some small glass lenses that I figured were otherwise totally done for. Given the low price of this film, I wasn't really expecting much to come of it, but I figured I had nothing to lose by trying. The results were way past my highest expectations. I was able to restore my scratched or even totally chipped lenses back to a mirror finish and perfect clarity. This lapping film should work perfectly for polishing optic fibers, or anything where the glass surface needs to be flat. The film is fairly stiff, so I don't know that you could get good results trying to polish something very round, but for optic fibers, perfect. The adhesive backing was also very helpful; I was able to cut some strips off of the film and adhere them to a small pane of glass, which gave me a really nice, flat polishing surface. Using that technique, I think I'll be able to stretch this film for quite a few uses, and given that the full sheets are pretty cheap to begin with, this product is shockingly affordable.
