There were marks on the inside of the belt and clear instructions. The belt was easy to cut with a pair of scissors. The other neat feature to this belt was that it had a ratchet style closure instead of the usual holes. The buckle catches on the belt itself to stay secure. The buckle was easy to attach to the belt. The belt and buckle arrived in a nice box which would be nice for gift giving. We ordered the black belt with gun silver buckle in up to 42" waist. My husband has a 32" and was able to cut it down to size without issue. It is a nice belt which works for every day use, work or dressing up.
