Count was accurate. The backers were in a seperate package which makes finding them easy. The metal seems quality. They all arived in good shape - no duds. The previous setting tool I had works. However, the outside diameter is only 7/16" with only a thin bit of gripping material as opposed to the 5/8" of my previous ones. The small diameter means there is very little grabbing of the fabric, and that these probably need a stiff backer such as vinyl or teflon sewn in to avoid tearing out of the fabric. The thin diameter means you must be very accurate when making your initial hole, actually make it a bit undersized and squeeze these in, or else they won't have anythgin to grab to. Keeping, but looking elsewhere for some quality proper sized ones.

A little more silver/dark gray than "black" but I'm still very happy with the quality. Pressed 84 into 1/4 in thick worth of fabric via a tandy leather mallet kit. Only two of them failed on me. Still good use of the gross. Worth a 5 star

Im new to setting gromets. I didnt know how to order both parts. Im happy that these sets came complete.

I really like how sturdy these grommets are, but the sizing is mislabeled. Even though the sticker said 1/4”, what I really received was 5/16”, which is quite a difference than what was needed. The image attached is what the 1/4” drill bit did to my 3D print, and the grommet was larger. The hole on the right was the actual size of the grommet. Without the drill bits I probably would have sent this back but I got it to work.

I bought these to use with a standard 1/4" hole punch. The quality may be fine (I can't attest to that myself), but they are too large to fit in the hole. You need a special tool that they sell to get them to fit, I guess. The eyelet hole itself may be 1/4", but the post that goes through the punched hole measures 5/16th. I am not willing to buy yet another tool to fit one product, so these will go in the bin. I gave 3 stars because they product may be good quality and the company was quick to respond.

grommets could have been shaded a bit more black. they look more gray. still all in all, they worked well for my small business.
