Details you might have not known
It’s super easy to set up take it out the box and put the battery in the phone. Connect the dock to the charger and sit your phone on it. You will see the little battery bars go up and the small dot on the phone will turn red to know it’s charging. You can connect it to your cellphone or any old phone you have long as it has WiFi and a calling app to Bluetooth. The v tech base will show a red dot by the Bluetooth icon that means it needs to be paired once it’s paired to your phone it will turn blue. It has no voice machine has to be connected to landline to use that. You have to program the phone numbers into the call log to know who’s calling you. Even though it’s Bluetooth all contacts won’t have a name transfering over. Functions great. It’s a good size. To make a call out you have to make sure you hit cell and then type the number. You can block numbers or unwanted numbers. Also if you connect to your cellphone beware it will say no line. That doesn’t mean the one don’t work. It says no line because it’s not connected to a phone line. Once it’s Bluetooth it will still say no line. But you will see a small Bluetooth icon on the screen it means it’s connected and you can start calling out and receiving calls. It comes with instructions and it’s a easy process

Love this phone
Amazing phone. It has speaker on the receiver when connecting your cellphone to the house phone. You can listen to music. I know people said it has no voicemails system unless connected to landline. But if you call your voicemail on cellphone it will play it loud on the speaker phone because it’s Bluetooth or just call ur cellphone on the house phone that works to. And it will play them from there. Don’t show you on the house phone how many voicemails you have. No display of any of that. I wish but it’s a great phone works really good. It’s bright. Worth the money and it’s a good size

V-Tech Phone
I love the features. However, they were a bit advanced for the person whim I purchased it for. The quality is good. The spund quality is good. The price was good to include an answering machine. I love the way it fit in my hand.

Excellent sound, excellent headset
I've had this unit for a week. I use it for calls that sometimes last as long as 2 hours. I use it primarily for the headset.Pros:1. Headband is comfortable on head.2. Battery life is good. I did 4 hours of calls in 1 day and headset battery was still going strong.3. Sound quality of headset is excellent in both directions. Several people have asked me "Did you get a new headset? Your calls sound much better."4, Headset has a mute button.5. I haven't tried a full distance test, but it works throughout the house.Cons:1. It is difficult to "feel" the mute button on the headset. After a while you learn where it is, but it would have been nice if they had put some tactile feedback on the mute button. The headset does feel a bit on the loose side to me, but I've found a position that keeps it secure enough so that I can do my exercises without it falling off, so I don't view this as a real "con".If you're looking for an inexpensive headset, I recommend this unit.Update#1: I had a chance to do a simple range test with the headset. I walked out the front door to the foot of the driveway. I then proceeded down the block. I made it just beyond my neighbor's house before the signal started to cut in and out. The headset will function properly at distances that exceed what is needed to cover one's home and back yard.Update#2: August 20, 2011. I've had the phone for 3 months and I have not had any problems. I use the headset many hours/week and it continues to function well.Update#4: May 19, 2012. I've had this system for a year now; both handsets and the headset continue to work well.Update#5: August 9, 2013. I've had this system for 2.25 years. The battery LED always shows red no matter how long I charge it, although it will still last 2+ hours before it dies. I have to take responsibility for this problem, as I allowed the headset battery to "run down" to empty multiple times. Most recently the battery was left dead for 10 days before I found the headset and put it back on the charger. I consider myself fortunate that it will still accept a charge at all.
